Blowing the whistle spawns the pet boar at the player's position. The summon follows the player and attacks whatever the player engages. Hotfix 0.10.0.2.54 on April 17, 2026 fixed a softlock specific to this reward. Before the patch, if the Boar Whistle dropped into the altar's bowl while the receiving player had a full inventory, the whistle could become permanently unobtainable. The fix restores the item to a retrievable state when inventory space opens up, so the altar reward can now be completed even if inventory is full at the moment the quest resolves. Parties should still try to keep at least one free slot before interacting with the altar to avoid the visual double-interaction.

Community theory connects this alpha to a future ingredient or quest step for the upgraded Mighty Boar Whistle, which exists in the game's data but has no confirmed acquisition path in the live build.
