Rewrote the release window for the August 2026 launch dating and delay to around late December 2026; recorded the announced launch-discount price, the planned post-Steam mobile port, and the expanded language list (Japanese, Thai)
Hero's Adventure: Another Tale is now targeted for release around late December 2026 on PC. The date moved twice in quick succession: on August 13, 2026 the studio announced a launch for August 19 with a two-week launch discount priced at $16.19, and on August 14 it delayed the game to around late December, saying the build needed more time and polish, particularly in the density of companion-bond content. The store page itself still lists only the year until a firm day is set; when one is confirmed, this page will note it.
Ahead of launch, the game can be added to a wishlist so you are notified when it becomes available. This is the standard way to keep track of the release.
The studio has confirmed that this game will not go through an Early Access rollout. In a developer question-and-answer post published in November 2025, it said the spin-off will arrive in one go as a finished version, in contrast to the studio's earlier title, which spent time in Early Access before its full launch. The team explained that the earlier back-and-forth wore on both developers and players, and that it would rather take the extra planning and polish time needed to present this game in a more complete state.
The game is a one-time purchase. No subscription, battle pass, or in-game currency has been announced, and the studio has described the spin-off as keeping the same buy-once model as its earlier title. The aborted August 2026 launch announcement priced the game at $16.19 under a two-week launch discount; the studio has not restated pricing for the December window. For the wider development timeline, see Development History.
The game is confirmed for PC (Windows) first. The studio has said it will release on Steam ahead of a planned mobile port, so the mobile version can arrive in a more polished state; no date, storefronts, or device list for that port have been announced, and no console versions have been announced. The game supports keyboard and mouse as well as full controller input, so you can play it in whichever style you prefer. For the hardware breakdown, including minimum and recommended specifications, see System Requirements.
A free demo was available as its own separate listing ahead of the full game. It became playable during Steam Next Fest in February 2026 and offered roughly one and a half to two hours of play. It has since been removed from Steam and can no longer be downloaded. The demo was a slice of the full experience rather than the finished product, and it gave players a way to try the combat, meet the world, and decide whether to wishlist the full release. The Demo Guide covers what it includes and how to make the most of it.

The game's confirmed supported languages are:
English
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Japanese
Thai
Steam lists these as the supported languages for the full release. In the free demo, however, only Simplified and Traditional Chinese were playable: the demo did not include English, and the studio has said English localization is still in development and planned for the full game. Japanese and Thai joined the supported-language list in 2026; no additional languages have been announced beyond these five.
The game has been rated by regional boards: DJCTQ 14 in Brazil, USK 16 in Germany, and IGRS 18 in Indonesia, each with descriptors that note violence. Its Steam store page also carries a community Sexual Content tag. Beyond those, the studio has not written a custom mature-content description for the listing. As a wuxia story, it deals with the rivalries and conflicts of the martial world. If the ratings or descriptors change, this page will be updated.
A standing base price for the full game has not yet been announced, and no special, deluxe, or collector editions have been revealed. The only price signal so far is the $16.19 two-week launch-discount figure attached to the announced-then-delayed August 19, 2026 launch. Anything beyond that, including the standing launch price and whether multiple editions will exist, remains to be confirmed. This page will be updated once that information is available.
