Overview
Another Hero's Adventure is a pixel-art wuxia turn-based RPG set in an open-world jianghu, the sprawling "martial world" of rivals, sects, and wandering swordsmen. You step into the shoes of a spirited young man from a well-off family who refuses to be confined to his books, and you set out to carve your own path through a land where every choice carries weight. The game is a spin-off that picks up after the events of an earlier title from the same studio, and it leans on storytelling, branching decisions, and tactical battles rather than a single scripted heroic journey.
This page is the landing point for the wiki. It gathers the confirmed facts about the game and points to the deeper pages that cover combat, companions, the world, and how this title relates to its predecessor. Where something has not been officially confirmed yet, this wiki says so plainly rather than guessing.

Premise
The story unfolds after the events of the previous title. A new dynasty rises from the ashes of war, but peace is thin: old grudges linger and fresh rivalries spread through a tangled web of factions. Into this restless world walks the protagonist, a young man of good standing who is unwilling to spend his days bent over his studies. Driven by a thirst for freedom, he leaves home and steps into the ever-shifting jianghu, where the journey ahead is his alone.
Crucially, there is no fixed hero's path. You may uphold justice as a righteous hero, or you may roam free as a carefree wanderer with no master but yourself. Every choice shapes not only your own survival but also the fate of those around you, and perhaps the destiny of the jianghu itself. For more on the world, its tone, and the larger conflict, see Setting and Story.
Gameplay at a Glance

At its core this is a turn-based RPG. Battles play out one move at a time and reward planning, positioning, and timing over raw reflexes. The combat returns from the studio's earlier work but adds two new layers built specifically for this game: Shield Break Combos, which let you crack an enemy's guard and chain follow-up attacks, and Team Skills, which let your party act in concert. The design aim is an easy-to-pick-up flow that still hides the layered tactics of a chess match. The full breakdown lives on the Combat System page.
You do not travel alone. Over the course of the journey you meet and forge bonds with four Companions, each with a distinct background and temperament. Each carries their own secrets, ambitions, and signature techniques, and any of them may tip the balance of a fight when you need it most. The four companions are not publicly named yet, so this wiki refers to them generically until the studio reveals more. The way you grow close to them is covered under Relationships and Bonding.
The world is dense with incident. There are 50+ Game Events of varying lengths, from quick encounters to longer story threads, scattered across the open jianghu. Your decisions matter throughout: this is a game of branching Choices and Consequences, and those branches lead to multiple Endings depending on how you carry yourself and whom you side with.
Visuals
The game presents its world in a pixelated 2D style, brought to life with comic-style illustrations, dynamic lighting, and particle effects. The result is meant to capture both the thrill of combat and the quiet, everyday warmth of life in the jianghu. The full look and feel is described on the Visuals and Presentation page.
Demo
A free demo is available as a separate listing ahead of the full release. It first became playable in early 2026 and offers roughly one and a half to two hours of play, serving as a slice of the larger game rather than the finished product. For what the demo includes, how long it runs, and tips for getting the most out of it, see the Demo Guide.
Relation to the Original Game

Another Hero's Adventure is a spin-off of an earlier wuxia open-world RPG from the same studio, and it is set after that title's events. The team has said the spin-off "continues the spirit of the original." That predecessor was a larger, systems-rich game, and several of its features are widely expected to return here in some form, though specifics for this title have not been confirmed. The full discussion of what carries over, what is brand new, and why you do not need to have played the first game lives on the Relation to the Original Game page.
What Is Confirmed vs Expected
Because this is a spin-off of a feature-heavy predecessor, it helps to keep two categories separate.
Confirmed for Another Hero's Adventure: turn-based combat with Shield Break Combos and Team Skills; four Companions; 50+ Game Events; branching Choices and Consequences with multiple Endings; an open-world jianghu setting; a pixelated 2D presentation with comic-style art; single-player; PC (Windows); a 2026 release; and a free demo.
Expected but not yet confirmed: the deeper systems that powered the original game, such as a very large library of martial-arts styles, a long roster of factions, a detailed relationship network, and a simulated living world of NPCs with their own routines. These are reasonable to anticipate given the studio's track record and the promise to continue the original's spirit, but the studio has not confirmed the details for this title. This wiki treats them as expectations and labels them as such. See Relation to the Original Game for the side-by-side.
