Background
Ambrus (voiced by Lorne Macnaughton) is the youngest of the Vrakhiri, the ancient vampires who control Vale Sangora. Unlike Brencis's Roman aristocratic origins, Ambrus came from nothing. His human life was hard. Defined by pain and humiliation. He sought vampiric power specifically to reach new heights and settle scores with the world that had mistreated him.
Personality
Despite his painful origins, Ambrus presents himself as a nobleman. His gleaming armor and perfectly coiffed hair are the costume of someone who refuses to be seen as what he once was. He is charming, and he uses that charm as a weapon. Every word serves a purpose.
The official description calls him "charming, deceiving, dangerous" and states that there is no red line he will not cross. He is the Vrakhiri member most likely to manipulate you into thinking he's your friend before the knife goes in.
Role in the game
As the youngest of the four Vrakhiri, Ambrus has something to prove. He controls his own territory in Vale Sangora under Brencis's leadership, but his ambition and resentment suggest he may not be entirely loyal. Whether players can exploit tensions between Ambrus and the other Vrakhiri is one of the open questions the faction system raises.
