Magicite are items that attach to weapons and modify how they behave in combat. Each piece is tied to a specific weapon type and provides a distinct effect: faster charging, additional projectiles, expanded radius, and more. A small equip-cost limit constrains how many pieces can be active at once, and higher-rarity magicite is both more powerful and cheaper to slot, creating a strong incentive to seek out rare pieces.

Magicite comes in multiple rarity tiers. A higher-rarity piece of the same type produces a stronger version of its effect. Crucially, rarer magicite also costs less to equip despite being more powerful. The total equip cost across all slotted pieces cannot exceed the current cost limit, which can be raised by spending tul (the game's currency). This system rewards seeking out rare magicite rather than simply stacking as many pieces as possible.
There are two main ways to obtain magicite.
The first is collecting fragments during exploration and forming them at shops. Bringing fragments to a shop costs tul and produces a finished magicite piece in a chosen weapon category. The specific piece and its rarity are partially random, but the odds of rarer results improve the more magicite is formed over the course of a playthrough. Players select the weapon type they want the result for; the shop does not produce pieces for a random type.
The second source is treasure chests found in dungeons and puzzle shrines, which may contain finished magicite pieces directly.
Several specific magicite pieces have been confirmed. The table below lists them with their weapons and effects.
Magicite Name | Weapon | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Attack Up Sword Magicite | Increases sword attack power. Available as a preorder bonus. | |
Lightning Mallet | Adds electrical bolts to the Hammer's special attack. Rarer versions produce wider strike patterns. | |
Ripe Bomb Magicite | Increases explosive damage while extending the delay before detonation. | |
Extra Throw Magicite | Adds a second boomerang to Elliot's throw. Normally one boomerang is thrown; this produces two simultaneously. |
Beyond the named pieces, magicite effects cover these general categories.
Charge speed: reduces how long the button must be held to trigger a charged special
Attack speed: increases the rate of basic attacks
Attack radius: expands the area of effect of strikes or thrown weapons
Damage: increases overall weapon damage output
Attack range: extends the reach of melee or thrown weapons
Extra projectiles: adds additional hits or thrown copies to an attack
Magicite and Faie's fairy magic can combine for amplified results. The Extra Throw Magicite on the Boomerang raises the throw from one to two boomerangs. When Faie's Copy ability is also active, duplicating Elliot's actions, the result is four simultaneous boomerangs per throw, a substantial increase in coverage.
Based on feedback from the Prologue Demo, the development team added expanded convenience features to the magicite system before launch. The specific changes have not been detailed publicly, but the update was described as quality-of-life improvements to how magicite is managed and equipped.
