Wikilink cleanup: corrected 1 duplicate body link(s)
The Twin Sitaray is a territorial, aggressive electric predator in Subnautica 2. Its databank entry records the generated name Sitaroid gemini and rates it a serious threat to divers and to electrically powered vehicles and bases alike, which makes it one of the more dangerous mid-size creatures in the current build.
Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
Class | Ray-like fish |
Disposition | Aggressive, highly territorial |
Attacks | Bite (around 15 damage) and an electric area pulse dealing damage over time |
Reported habitat | The Metal Farms and Power Plant areas of Karakorum and Root Canyon |
A Twin Sitaray signals an attack twice over: it emits a vocalization, and its body starts to glow when it is primed. The bite deals moderate damage. The electric pulse is the bigger problem, a wide-area burst that damages the diver, the Tadpole, and the vehicle's power reserve at the same time, and keeps ticking while you stay in range. The practical answer is distance: break away as soon as the glow starts and the sustained damage is easy to avoid.
The entry describes a deep-sea electropredator pushed toward the surface by ecological disruption. Sitarays are always born as twins. Mature pairs split up to find mates but stay linked by strands of conductive mucus, and the longer the connection, the more powerful the dipole of their hunting shock. Buried true eyes and a hyperdeveloped central eye that tracks light and heat betray its lightless origins. The entry also asks observers to watch for play behavior involving metal debris, a line that lands differently once one has chewed through a vehicle's battery.
