Stellar Blade: BLOOD RAIN is a direct sequel to Stellar Blade, developed and self-published by SHIFT UP. It was revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026 and is described as being in early development. The game is set in the same universe as the original and continues the story beyond that game's ending, but it follows a new protagonist named Evie rather than the original heroine.
What Was Shown

The reveal trailer opens with a steam locomotive moving through rain-slicked city streets before ordinary citizens begin transforming into monsters, which leads into combat. Evie is shown tracking a group of suspicious individuals while a partner named Canna speaks to her about something called The Scarlet Sin. Evie fights with her fists and gauntlets rather than a sword, the most visible break from the first game.
Platforms and Release
Exact platforms and a release date have not been announced. SHIFT UP has confirmed that BLOOD RAIN will not be a PlayStation exclusive, a change from the original Stellar Blade, which was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This time the studio is self-publishing in house.
