Sheriff is an adoptable Black and White Cat in Starsand Island. This laid-back feline spends its days sunbathing on the beach at Half-Moon Bay, making it the most remote of the town-area cats. Sheriff is one of twelve pets that players can adopt and bring home to live on their property.

Location
Sheriff can usually be found sunbathing on the beach at Half-Moon Bay. This is one of the more out-of-the-way pet locations, located away from the main town center. Half-Moon Bay is also the venue for the Beach Festival and Splendid Wonderland seasonal events, so you can visit Sheriff while attending those festivals.
If you cannot find Sheriff at its usual spot, open the map and check the Residents tab. Pet locations can shift slightly as they wander, and tracking them through the map prevents wasted trips.
How to Adopt
Adopting Sheriff follows the standard pet taming process used for all wild pets in Starsand Island:
Step 1: Locate Sheriff at Half-Moon Bay. Approach it and interact.
Step 2: Feed Sheriff its favorite food, Sheep Cheese Block, to gain 15 affection points per feeding. You can feed each pet once per day.
Step 3: Continue feeding daily until you reach Affection Level 3.
Step 4: Once at Level 3, the Adopt option appears. You need a Pet House on your property. The blueprint costs 100 Coins from Stella at Woof and Wow Pets, or comes free with your first shop pet purchase.
Tips
Sheep Cheese Block is the most common favorite food among pets in the game. Process Sheep Milk to keep a steady supply on hand for Sheriff and other pets.
Since Half-Moon Bay is far from your farm, plan your visits to coincide with other tasks in the area, such as fishing, foraging, or attending seasonal events.
Using a favorite food (15 points) instead of a neutral food (5 points) cuts the adoption time by roughly two-thirds.
Purchase the Pet House blueprint from Stella early if you plan to adopt multiple pets. The 7,500-coin cost is a one-time investment.
