Zippy

Overview

Zippy is an adoptable Squirrel in Starsand Island. This energetic little creature spawns near Hopeland, close to the player's farm, making it one of the most accessible pets to encounter early in the game. Zippy is one of twelve pets that can be adopted and brought to your property.

Location

Zippy spawns near Hopeland but wanders quite far across the map. Because of this roaming behavior, it helps to track Zippy through the map's Residents tab rather than running around the Hopeland area looking for it. The proximity to your farm does mean that early encounters are likely, especially while tending crops or visiting your ranch.

How to Adopt

The adoption process for Zippy is the same as all wild pets:

• Find Zippy near Hopeland (check the Residents tab on the map if needed).

• Feed Zippy Pasture Grass to earn 15 affection points per daily feeding.

• Continue feeding daily until Affection Level 3 is reached.

• The Adopt option appears at Level 3. You need a Pet House on your property. The blueprint costs 100 Coins from Stella at Woof and Wow Pets, or comes free with your first shop pet purchase.

Pasture Grass Farming

Pasture Grass is a Beginner Farmer crop that costs only 25 coins per seed and grows in just 12 hours. It grows year-round in all four seasons, so you always have a reliable supply of food for Zippy. Because Pasture Grass is so cheap and fast-growing, maintaining a constant stock takes minimal effort.

Tips

• Zippy and Mellowhen (the Capybara pet) share the same favorite food, Pasture Grass, and the same general area near Hopeland. You can tame both pets at the same time by growing a batch of Pasture Grass and feeding them on the same daily route.

• Using the favorite food (15 points) rather than a neutral food (5 points) speeds up adoption significantly.

• Pet House is a one-time purchase. Buy the blueprint early from Stella if you plan to adopt multiple pets.
