Overview

Guppy is a small, colorful freshwater fish found in river zones in Starsand Island. It is a Summer-only catch that requires rainy weather, making it a seasonal find. With a sell price of 115g, Guppy is a mid-range river fish. It can be processed into Fish Fillet at the Separator for use in cooking recipes, or sold directly for gold.

How to Catch

Guppy has specific requirements that all need to align:

• Season: Summer only. The Guppy does not appear in any other season.

• Weather: Rainy. Clear, sunny, or snowy days will not produce Guppy. Wait for a rainy summer day before heading to the river.

• Time: 08:00 to 20:00. This is a daytime window, covering most of the active day.

• Bait: Veggie Bait is required. Craft it at the Chopper II using crops or foraged plants.

River fishing spots are found along the streams running through Hopeland, Starsand Town, and the surrounding areas. Look for fish shadows in the water after tossing Veggie Bait to chum the area.

Other Summer Rainy River Fish

Several other river fish share the Summer/Rainy conditions. When it rains in Summer, consider targeting these alongside Guppy:

Uses

• Process into Fish Fillet at the Separator

• Sell directly at shops for 115g, or at the Merchant Ship for 230g (double value)

• Place in a Fish Pond for breeding (no oxygen cost)

• Contribute to Islandpedia stamp completion under Aquatic Life

Tips

• Guppy has no oxygen requirement for the Fish Pond, so it can be placed in any pond without using oxygen capacity.

• Rainy summer days are great for fishing in general. While waiting for Guppy, you can also catch Grass Carp at Lake zones and Emperor Angelfish at the Ocean, since they share the same Summer/Rainy conditions.

• At 115g base price, Guppy is worth 230g at the Merchant Ship. If you catch several on a rainy day, save them for the Ship's Monday refresh.

• Since you need Veggie Bait, make sure to have crops or foraged plants stockpiled before summer starts. Craft a batch at the Chopper II ahead of time.
