Butter Crunch Cookie is a cooking recipe in Starsand Island. It is a crispy, buttery cookie baked exclusively in the Oven. The cookie's simple combination of flour, sugar, and fine salt produces a satisfying crunch with a sweet-and-salty flavor. It is one of the 7 Oven-exclusive recipes (8 after the Birthday Cake was added in patch v0.3.4862) and cannot be prepared on any other cooking station.

Butter Crunch Cookie restores 97 stamina and sells for 205 Coins. It does not grant any buff, placing it in the category of straightforward stamina recovery foods. Among the Oven recipes, it offers the best stamina-to-ingredient ratio for recipes that use only basic processed materials.

How to Unlock

The Butter Crunch Cookie recipe is unlocked through Island Life progression. Island Life is the main storyline track in Starsand Island that naturally advances as you complete daily tasks, build relationships with villagers, and develop your Hopeland property. Unlike recipes from the Aureleaf Kitchen or Merchant Ship, you do not need to purchase this recipe; it is awarded automatically as you progress.

You also need the Oven station itself. The Oven Blueprint can be purchased from the Aureleaf Kitchen for 2,500 Coins, found in a treasure chest at the Cloudrest Lake Dock or in the Hidden Forest, or obtained by reaching StarNote Level 41. Once you have the Oven Blueprint, craft the Oven at your Worktable and place it on your property.

Ingredient Sourcing

Flour

Flour is produced at the Separator by processing Wheat. Wheat is one of the earliest crops available from the Happiness Seed Shop. Flour is the most heavily used base ingredient in the game, appearing in noodles, dumplings, cakes, toast, and cookies, so maintaining a large Wheat field is always worthwhile.

Sugar

Sugar is produced at the Separator by processing either Beetroot or Sugarcane. Sugarcane grows quickly and produces a reliable yield, making it the preferred source. Sugar is used in many recipes across all cooking stations, so keeping a large stockpile saves trips to the Separator.

Fine Salt

Fine Salt is crafted at the Charcoal Kiln using Salt Brick and Fiber. Salt Brick is gathered from salt deposits on the island, and Fiber is harvested from grass and certain plants. Unlike the Separator ingredients, Fine Salt requires the Charcoal Kiln, so make sure you have one built. Process a batch of Fine Salt whenever you are running low, as it is used in several savory recipes and the Butter Crunch Cookie.

Tips

• Build multiple Ovens to bake cookies in parallel, just like you would with Campfires. The 66-second bake time is moderate, but running two Ovens at once doubles your output.

• Pair your Butter Crunch Cookie production with Cloud-Soft Toast baking. Both recipes share Flour and Sugar as base ingredients, so you can process one large batch of each and split it between the two recipes.

• Keep a stockpile of Fine Salt at all times. It is easy to forget about the Charcoal Kiln while focusing on Separator and Brewing Barrel production. Process a batch whenever you collect Salt Brick.

• Check the Bulletin Board for requests. Baked goods are sometimes requested by villagers and pay more than the standard sell price.

• If you want a buff cookie instead, consider baking Wishful Heart Cookies (Lucky Spin buff) or Prosperity Cake (Big Winner buff). These have lower stamina values but provide useful bonuses for gashapon and scratch card minigames.
