11Almost everything hostile in Soulbound: Online lives inside a dungeon. The shared overworld is for gathering, questing and trading, and it holds no roaming enemy packs, with one loud exception covered below. Step through a beacon and the picture reverses: enemies arrive in screen-filling waves, and the run is paced by which of them turns up and when.22Enemies come in three grades. Ordinary spawns fill the wave stages and vary by region. A demi-boss interrupts the middle of a run. A final boss closes it. Bosses have far larger health pools, better defence and multiple telegraphed attacks, so they ask for preparation rather than reflexes alone.44Regional Rosters66Each of the three main dungeon regions draws from its own enemy pool, and the pools are thematically split: Eastern Reach is robotic, Everdune is desert wildlife, and Farpoint Rift takes the desert creatures and sets them on fire.88Eastern ReachEverduneFarpoint RiftGreen BotCactolingScorched LizardBlue BotDesert SphynxScorched SphynxOrange BotScritterBoomburst BotHealing BuffbotRockydilloPyrodilloSpeed BuffbotToxic SlimeFire SlimeProjectile BotCamo Projectile BotOrange Projectile BotLaser Duo BotLaser Duo BotLootFly1010A few of these matter more than their size suggests. The Healing Buffbot and Speed Buffbot do almost nothing on their own but make everything around them harder, so they are worth killing first. The Camo Projectile Bot is exactly what the name implies and is easy to lose in a busy Everdune wave. The Laser Duo Bot is the only enemy that appears in two regions rather than one.1111Some enemies spawn in more than one place, so this is a guide to where you usually meet them rather than an exhaustive spawn table.1313Bulkatron, the Demi-Boss1515Bulkatron is the mid-run interruption. One typically appears around the fourth stage of a beacon run, just ahead of the Healing Oasis, and it comes in Blue, Green and Red variants. You can meet more than one Bulkatron in a single run, but never more than one on the same floor.1717Treat it as a checkpoint rather than a wall. Clearing it is what opens the choice between healing back to full and taking the extra-reward route instead, which is the decision that shapes the back half of a run.1919Region Bosses2121Each region has a boss line rather than a single boss, and the same creature reappears in a tougher role as you climb the rungs. What closes an early run turns up as a mid-run obstacle in a harder one.2323RegionOpening BossLater in the LadderEastern ReachCactaro KnightCactaro King, Cactaro GeneralEverduneCactosaurElite CactosaurFarpoint RiftScrapclawElite Scrapclaw2525The Cactaro Knight is the one most players meet first, and it is the clearest example of how these fights are built. It works through three phases and cycles three telegraphed attacks: a punch that lands twice and stuns, a stomp with a visible wind-up that leaves a wide area effect on the ground, and a thrown projectile that aims at whoever in the party has the lowest health. That last one is the reason a healer cannot simply hide at the back.2626Patch 4 reduced the size of the Cactaro Knight's unavoidable attack and made him easier to move afterwards, so guides written before that update overstate how punishing the fight is. The same patch fixed the attack rings on the fight rendering in the wrong positions.2828Farpoint has a nastier trick. A three-player Farpoint run spawns two Scrapclaw at once on the final floor rather than one, so the fight is a coordination problem before it is a damage problem.3030The Cactosaur World Boss3232Cactosaur is the exception to the rule that combat only happens inside a dungeon. It can spawn at random in the overworld near Everdune, in Needlepoint and in the Everdune cave system, and occasionally two appear at once. It can also spawn inside an Everdune beacon run, including on the boss floor, which forces a party to fight two bosses simultaneously.3434It is not worth the trouble. The world boss version is not known to drop anything at all, so there is no reward for taking it on. If one appears while you are gathering, the reliable answer is to walk out of the overworld area and re-enter, which despawns it.3636Raid and Story Bosses3838Two encounters sit outside the regional ladder.4040Spectra the Necromancer waits in the Hall of Death, reached through the abandoned area of Arcadia, and is fought during the final questline. The fight leans on movement rather than raw output: Spectra opens with ring-shaped area attacks that start near her spawn point, mixes in ghost orbs and summoned spirits, and periodically teleports and becomes untargetable for a while. The counter is to leave the telegraphed rings, close the distance when she is attackable, and bring burst damage rather than sustained damage. Combat potions, survival food and an upgraded ability loadout make a real difference here.4242The Abyssal Raid is the other one, and it fields Raid Hovertrix and Raid Scrapclaw, which the studio describes simply as the two giant robots. It runs on a tridaily cadence in a one-hour window, in the eastern reach, and it is entered from its own entrance rather than through the Dungeon Finder. Abilities are randomised inside it, so the Ability Configurator is worth carrying.4444Enemies Across a Run4646A beacon run is paced by its enemy schedule, and knowing the shape of it tells you when to spend cooldowns.4848StageWhat Turns Up1 to 3Waves of ordinary regional enemies4A demi-boss, usually a Bulkatron, then a choice between a Healing Oasis portal and an extra-reward portal5 to 7More waves, faster and denser than the opening stages8The final boss, then a portal to the treasure chest and a portal home5050The rung you picked changes all of it: higher rungs raise how fast enemies spawn, how many must be cleared before a stage ends, and which enemy types appear at all. A closing sandstorm shrinks the arena as the timer runs, so stalling is not an option. The full ladder is on Dungeons.5151Nothing in the current build penalises you for dying early. Bag and gear loss was implemented at one point and has since been disabled, and the studio's plan puts it back only inside opt-in high-risk modes, which is tracked on Early Access and Roadmap.5353Post-Launch Fixes5555Enemy behaviour has taken steady repair work since launch. Two frequent crash sources were removed: Cactaro enemies being reused before their hitbox data had finished initialising, and an Elite Hovertrix that finished an attack rotation and then simply stopped instead of returning to combat. A later patch stopped Elite Hovertrix enemies becoming permanently stuck after being frozen, and hit detection across all enemies was reworked so that hits land where they appear on screen rather than after you have already moved clear.5757Dungeon ore drops were rebalanced to normalise rewards, and combat rooms are no longer incorrectly replaced by resource rooms when a floor is generated.5959What an enemy drops is on Armour and Accessories and Weapons; what to bring against them is on Combat and Stats and Attributes. Enemy rosters, boss placements and spawn behaviour all describe the Early Access build and are being tuned as it develops.6161September 2026 Boss Tuning6363The Cactaro King, the boss of the tier 6 Eastern Reach Abyssal run and the hardest single health pool in the game, had its health reduced to 55,000 on 9 September 2026. The studio framed it as a combat experience change rather than a difficulty concession, and it landed in the same patch that rebalanced every craftable consumable, so the fight got shorter at roughly the same time the buffs going into it were retuned.6565Two encounter faults were cleared the week before. The guild task Where It Hurts VI had not been tracking the Cactaro King kill in Eastern Reach Abyssal or paying out its reward, and the boss name shown in the task text was wrong; both were fixed on 3 September 2026. A server crash in dungeon chest rooms, triggered when a chest failed to load its configuration, was fixed in the same patch, as was a client crash on loading an area with a missing door, teleport or rentable-location visual.6767One change alters how boss fights feel more than any health number. Since 3 September 2026 consumables are locked while a use is in progress or a blocking buff is active, which closed the exploit that had let players spam health potions through a fight. Bosses that were survivable through sheer drinking now have to be survived through the build, so see Combat and Relics and Builds for what replaces it.
