House of Greed

Initial version (2026-08-25)
House of Greed is multiplayer content for Silver Palace, revealed on 25 August 2026 in the closing seconds of a promotional trailer shown at a games-convention opening showcase. It is the first multiplayer of any kind the game has shown. Everything demonstrated up to that point, across the reveal, both closed betas and every gameplay showcase, was single-player.
What exists publicly is a fifteen-second post-credit sequence and a name. No rules, player count, release window or platform detail has been published, and the publisher has not said whether it forms part of the main game or stands apart from it.
The main body of the trailer is the game as it has always been presented: an investigation in an operating room, an open city, boss encounters, finishing moves. It ends on a freeze-frame, and then the register changes completely.
The female Detective and other characters are shown venturing separately into a series of enclosed rooms, each one alone, when creatures emerge from the shadows. They draw their weapons and fight through a run of encounters. The staging is close and claustrophobic rather than open, the lighting is low, and the combat is shown in third person with firearms rather than with the melee-and-swap choreography the game usually leads with. The sequence closes on the words House of Greed in deep crimson.
The characters are shown in separate rooms at the same time, which is what marks the sequence as multiplayer rather than as another party encounter: the game's normal party system puts four characters in one space with the player switching between them, and this does not look like that.
Element | Main game | House of Greed teaser |
|---|---|---|
Party | Up to four characters in one space, swapped between by one player | Multiple characters occupying separate spaces at the same time |
Perspective and weapons | Melee and ranged mixed, built around swaps, parries and executions | Third-person combat with firearms |
Setting | An open Victorian city with districts, streets and rooftops | Enclosed rooms and confined corridors |
Tone | Detective drama in a dark fairy-tale city | Low light, sudden emergences, a horror register |
Enemies | Street gangs, disguised beasts, named bosses | Creatures emerging from the dark, not otherwise identified |
The contrast is the point of the reveal. The trailer holds the elegant, fairy-tale-styled cast against the twisted shapes that come out of the dark, which is a version of the same aesthetic collision the main game runs on, pushed toward horror.
The list of unknowns is longer than the list of knowns:
Whether House of Greed is a mode inside Silver Palace or a separate release.
How many players it supports, and whether it is cooperative, competitive or both.
Which characters can be taken into it, and whether the gacha roster carries over.
Whether it uses the rebuilt combat system with parries, executions and Resonance, or a separate one built for firearms.
When it becomes playable. The game itself has no announced release date, and a third closed beta is confirmed to exist without a date attached.
The reveal came twelve days after the Dichotomy Beta closed on 13 August 2026, and a week after the announcement that pre-registrations had passed ten million. It landed on the opening night of the game's largest convention appearance to date, where the game was also shortlisted for a best mobile game award. Read against that run of announcements, the teaser reads as a statement of scope rather than as a dated product announcement, and it should be treated that way until the publisher says more.
