Major expansion with specific crops, skill unlocks, and plant categories
Plants in inZOI fall into three categories:
Flowerpots (8–270 Meow) — decorative plants like heart hoya, aloe, and variegated monstera. They can be watered to stay fresh but don't grow or produce anything.
Flowers and flowerbeds (10–120 Meow) — grass, marigolds, rose shrubs, and arches. These grow automatically and are purely visual.
Growing Plants (5–25 Meow) — the only plants that actually grow over time, produce crops, and can be harvested. These are what the gardening skill is built around.
All plants are found in Build Mode under Furniture > Outdoor > Growing Plants.
Growable crops include lettuce, tomatoes, premium tomatoes, sweet potatoes, potatoes, corn, eggplants, and blueberries. Apple and orange saplings let you grow fruit trees. A Lettuce Hydroponic System (an indoor option) unlocks at Gardening Level 6.
Level 0: Basic seedlings — tomato, lettuce, blueberry, sweet potato.
Level 2: Corn, eggplant, potato, carrot seedlings. Premium tomato seedling. Bonsai pot stand.
Level 4: Bonsai designs — Perfect Form, Nature's Cradle, Winter Fantasy.
Level 6: Apple seedling. Lettuce hydroponic system. More bonsai designs (Layers of Hope, Graceful Breath, Curves of Time).
Level 8: Bonsai designs — Dance of the Wind, Everlasting Love.
Level 10: Bonsai designs — Serene Balance, Direction of Life.
Plants take about 2 or more in-game days to fully mature. Shorter day length settings mean faster real-time growth. Water and fertilize daily to improve crop quality. When a plant is ready, click it and select "Harvest." Each good-quality harvest earns roughly 500 Meow. Harvested produce can also be used in cooking and doesn't spoil.
Bonsai trees become available at Level 2 with the pot stand. Interact with a bonsai to prune it into a specific shape. Higher gardening skill produces cleaner results. Pruned bonsai can be sold through the Pocket Market app on the smartphone for extra Meow.
Watering, fertilizing, and harvesting all raise the gardening skill. Reading gardening books from a library or bookshelf also helps. If you'd rather not do the daily maintenance yourself, you can hire a Farm Helper through the Pocket Market for 4 hours of automated crop care.
