Factions

PUBG: Black Budget features three rival factions that shape a Contractor's missions and rewards. These factions offer contracts, missions, and rewards that are tied to loyalty and reputation, giving players reasons to pursue particular objectives and align with particular groups.

Loyalty and Reputation

Each faction's contracts and rewards are connected to a loyalty and reputation system. As players take on work from a faction, their standing with that group develops, which in turn affects the opportunities and rewards available to them. Because the factions are described as rivals, choices made for one group can carry weight in the wider faction landscape.

Faction Rewards

Factions are also a source of unique equipment. The game includes faction-exclusive items as part of its weapon and gear customization, so building reputation with a faction can unlock gear that is not otherwise available. Naming Status

None of the three factions has been given a name in official material. That absence is worth stating plainly, because branded equipment lines have appeared: three weapon lines called XCAL, Gnosys and Baehko were published by name during closed alpha testing, alongside a currency package carrying a fourth name, Stygian. Those brands are catalogued in Weapons and Equipment.

It would be easy to assume the branded lines and the factions are the same thing, and no official source supports that. The count does not even match: three factions against four brand names. Until the studio connects them, this wiki treats the two as separate, and faction names will be added here only when they are officially announced.

Faction contracts and missions are part of what drives a Contractor onto Coli Island each run, alongside the search for top-secret technology described in Story and Setting. As specific faction details are confirmed by the developers, they will be documented here.
