Overview

Yawn is a unique Pokemon Specialty in Pokemon Pokopia exclusive to Slowpoke. Talking to a befriended Slowpoke reveals the current humidity level of the area. This is the only in-game way to query exact humidity values without entering the habitat menu.

What It Does

• Reports current humidity level when you talk to Slowpoke

• Useful for fine-tuning habitats with strict humidity requirements

• Saves the player from manually checking habitat-by-habitat humidity values

Pokemon with Yawn Specialty

Slowpoke is the only Pokemon with the Yawn specialty. Slowpoke is a relatively common Water-type encounter in Pokopia and can be befriended through standard habitat construction in coastal or wet areas.

Why Humidity Matters

Humidity is a key environmental property of habitats. Some Pokemon prefer Humid habitats, while others prefer Dry habitats. Knowing the exact humidity reading helps you adjust water features, ground type, and proximity to water sources to hit the right tier.

Tips

• Befriend Slowpoke as one of your earliest specialty Pokemon if you plan to optimize habitat conditions. The Yawn specialty's information is otherwise hidden.

• Take Slowpoke with you (Pokemon following) when adjusting habitats so you can re-query humidity after each change.

• Slowpoke's other use is its evolution into Slowbro and Slowking, who have Trade specialty rather than Yawn. The Yawn check is unique to the unevolved form.
