Pokemon Specialties

Fix specialty count from 31 to 30
Every Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia has at least one specialty that determines what tasks it can perform in the world. Specialties range from chopping wood and generating electricity to running shops and appraising relics. There are 30 known specialties, with any additional ones still unconfirmed. Some specialties are exclusive to a single Pokemon, making those individuals particularly valuable.
Specialties are predetermined and cannot be changed. Each Pokemon has its set specialties when you discover it. If you need a specific specialty in a region where no Pokemon offers it, you must find one in another region and bring it along as a follower.
Interaction: Walk up to a Pokemon with the desired specialty and select "Look at this!" to give it materials, or ask it to perform its specialty task directly.
Followers: Pokemon following Ditto passively perform their specialties as they travel. Fire Pokemon near flammable objects will ignite them; Grow Pokemon accelerate nearby plant growth; Litter Pokemon drop resources as they walk.
Automation: Station Pokemon near relevant stations for continuous work. Burn Pokemon at Smelting Furnaces process ore automatically. Generate Pokemon near appliances supply power.
Required for progress: Many quests and story objectives require specific specialties. You cannot finish the game without gathering Pokemon with key specialties like Build, Bulldoze, and Chop.

Station Burn Pokemon at Furnaces: Place multiple Fire-type Pokemon near your Smelting Furnaces and crafting stations. Ingot production is the biggest late-game bottleneck, and more Burn Pokemon speed it up.
Litter Pokemon as followers: Keep Bellsprout, Combee, or Mareep as followers for free materials (Vine Rope, Honey, Fluff) dropped passively as they walk with you.
Recycle station: Set up Trubbish and Garbodor near your crafting hub when natural iron deposits run low. They convert garbage into Iron Ore and wastepaper into Paper.
Grow Pokemon near farms: Station Bulbasaur, Oddish, or other Grow Pokemon near your crop fields to accelerate plant growth. This dramatically reduces farming wait times.
Multiple Search Pokemon: Bring along Pokemon with Search when exploring new areas. They locate hidden Lost Relics, CDs, and Mysterious Slates that are otherwise invisible.
Trade shop setup: To open a player shop, assign a Trade Pokemon to a powered Cash Register. The Pokemon handles transactions automatically. Keep Generate Pokemon nearby to maintain power.
Plan specialty needs per region: Before moving to a new region, check what specialties are required for story progression (Build, Bulldoze, Chop are most common). Bring followers from previous regions if the needed specialties are not available locally.
