Expand Sparkling Ripples section: add gold ripple details, recipe guarantee connection, visual distinction from white ripples, and daily reset tip
Lucky Days are a weekly bonus mechanic in Pokemon Pokopia that boosts resource gathering every Sunday. During a Lucky Day, the game world generates more Glowing Blocks and Sparkling Ripples in spring water sources, increasing the chances of finding rare items, recipes, Mystery Slates, and Dolls. The player is notified at the start of the in-game day when a Lucky Day is active.
Lucky Days occur every Sunday based on the Nintendo Switch 2's system clock. The bonus activates at the daily reset (5:00 AM local time on Sunday) and lasts until the following daily reset (5:00 AM Monday). No special action is needed to trigger a Lucky Day; it happens automatically.

During Lucky Days, Glowing Spots appear more frequently throughout all areas. These spots can be broken with Rock Smash to reveal rewards including Lost Relics, Fossils, Mystery Slates, Dolls for Dream Islands, and other collectibles. The increased spawn rate means more chances to find rare items per exploration session.
Spring water sources produce more Sparkling Ripples on Lucky Days. Ripples in Pokopia come in two visual varieties: standard white ripples and rarer gold ripples. White ripples can drop materials, items, or occasionally a recipe, while gold ripples have a significantly higher chance of rewarding a crafting recipe you have not yet learned. On Lucky Days, gold ripples appear more frequently at every spring water source across all five regions.
When you interact with a gold Sparkling Ripple, the game often prompts you to keep pressing A as the item is pulled from the water. This extended animation is a tell that you are receiving a recipe or rare item rather than a common material. Because Lucky Days increase both the total number of ripples and the proportion that spawn as gold, Sundays are the single best day of the week for recipe hunting.
Pokemon spawn rates (use Spicy-flavor Mosslax offerings for that)
Shop inventory (use Sour-flavor Mosslax offerings)
Dream Island resources (these have their own independent spawn rules)
Stamp Rally stamp rarity (completely random regardless of day)
To get the most out of every Lucky Day:
Eat Hamburger Steak to power up Rock Smash before exploring. You need the upgrade to break harder Glowing Spots.
Explore all five areas systematically. Glowing Spots increase across every region.
Check every spring water source for gold Sparkling Ripples. Prioritize water sources early in your route so you do not miss any before the daily reset.
Use the Dowsing Machine with a Search-specialty Pokemon to locate Glowing Spots more efficiently.
Visit a Dream Island on Sunday too. While Dream Islands have separate spawn rules, you can still collect your daily Stamp and farm materials.
Set a reminder to play on Sundays. The Glowing Spot increase is the best weekly opportunity for finding rare Dolls and Mystery Slates.
Combine Lucky Day exploration with Mosslax Sweet-flavor offerings, which boost Ancient Artifact discovery rates, for maximum collectible farming.
Gold Sparkling Ripples can drop recipes you do not yet own. If you are still missing crafting recipes, checking water sources on Lucky Days should be your top priority each week.
Lucky Days are especially valuable early in the game when your Glowing Spot encounter rate is low and you need Dolls for Dream Island access.
Sparkling Ripples reset daily, so the ones you collect on Sunday will not reduce what appears on Monday. There is no downside to gathering every ripple you see.
