Gold Ingots are a high-tier treasure-chest crafting material in Windrose, used at the Jewellery Table for the most advanced accessories. Like Silver Ingots, Gold Ingots are sold by the Tortuga Goods Seller (30 Piastre each), but most players accumulate them faster through treasure chests, defeated Blackbeard transports, dungeon bosses, and major buried treasure rewards. Gold Ingots are significantly rarer than Silver Ingots and represent the late-game accessory material.

Late-game Cursed Swamps Ancient Ruins consistently contain Gold; map their locations on each procedural island
Blackbeard Treasure Maps in their multi-stage chains often end with Gold Ingot rewards
Gold has historically been the prestige currency of European maritime empires. Windrose keeps Gold Ingots available for purchase at a steep Piastre price, but the bulk of a player's supply still comes from looting the dead, digging the earth, or taking the holds of Blackbeard's transports. Even with the Tortuga trader's steady-but-costly supply, Gold Ingots remain a prestige-coded material in Windrose's alternate-history Caribbean.
Silver Ingot - the lower-tier paired material
Buried Treasure - a major Gold source
Crafting - station upgrade chains using Gold
High Priestess - boss with Gold Ingot drops
Israel Hands - boss with Gold Ingot drops
Gold Ingots also appear in camp chests scattered across the first and second biomes. The spawn is random per chest, so results vary, but clearing a full camp loop on a single island can occasionally yield multi-ingot caches from one container. Second-biome camps trend higher on average than first-biome camps because of their later-game loot table weighting.
Players who prefer crafting over looting can smelt Gold Ingots at a furnace once the progression path opens up at the swamp tier. The heavy furnace recipe becomes accessible after reaching the swamp biome, so plan on pushing main-story progression past the jungle before relying on smelting as a primary supply line. Until then, chest and boss loot will out-produce crafting by a significant margin.
