Overview

DJ is a unique Pokemon Specialty in Pokemon Pokopia exclusive to DJ Rotom, a special Stereo-form Rotom NPC. DJ Rotom plays music CDs from your collection through its built-in stereo, setting the mood for your settlement and powering Hype specialty dance interactions.

What It Does

• Plays Music CDs added to its rotation. DJ Rotom holds up to 5 CDs at a time.

• Music plays proximity-based; near DJ Rotom to hear it. DJ Rotom can also follow you for mobile soundtracks.

• Triggers Hype-specialty Pokemon to dance, raising area mood and contributing to Time to Party! quest objectives.

• Acts as the only way to play music in your settlement. Standalone CD Players can also play CDs but require electricity.

Pokemon with DJ Specialty

DJ Rotom is the only Pokemon with the DJ specialty. It is found during the Time to Party! quest in Rocky Ridges, sealed inside a cave accessible via Rollout.

Tips

• Free DJ Rotom as soon as you reach Rocky Ridges. The early DJ specialty unlock improves all parties and Hype-related interactions.

• Collect Music CDs aggressively. There are 43 CDs in the game; rotate them through DJ Rotom's 5-slot playlist to vary the soundtrack.

• Do not give CDs to Professor Tangrowth. He will pocket them and not return them. Only DJ Rotom should receive CDs.
