Created Charizard article with Pokopia-specific habitat data, dual specialties, and preferences
Charizard is a Fire/Flying-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Flame Pokemon (Dex #006). It is the final evolution of Charmander, evolving from Charmeleon. Charizard is notable for having two specialties: Fly and Burn. Standing at 5'7" and weighing 199.5 lbs, Charizard expels blasts of superhot fire, causing the red flame at the tip of its tail to burn more intensely.
Charizard can appear in two different habitats:
Habitat | Requirements | Rarity | Other Pokemon |
|---|---|---|---|
Tall Grass x 4 | Very Rare | Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, others | |
Bonfire x 1, Berry Basket x 1, Castform Weather Charm (Sun) x 2, High-up location x 1 | Rare | Charizard only |
The Berry-Feast Campsite is the recommended habitat since Charizard is the sole spawn there. Building it requires a bonfire, a berry basket, two Castform Weather Charms with the sun design, and a high-up location. The Berry Basket is crafted using five different berry types: Pecha Berry, Lum Berry, Rawst Berry, Chesto Berry, and Aspear Berry. These berries come from seeds that you plant and harvest as trees.
The Tall Grass habitat is much simpler to build (just four patches of tall grass) but Charizard is classified as Very Rare there, competing with multiple other Pokemon for spawns.
Charizard appears in any area where its habitats are built. Note that the Berry-Feast Campsite requires a high-up location, so it must be placed on elevated terrain. Charizard is active during all times of day. In the Tall Grass habitat, it only appears in sunny weather. In the Berry-Feast Campsite, it appears in sunny and cloudy conditions.
Build the Berry-Feast Campsite for the best chance at encountering Charizard. Even as a Rare spawn there, it is far easier to find than in the Tall Grass where it is Very Rare. Once Charizard appears, interact with it and complete its requests to befriend it.
Charizard has two specialties:
Fly: If you speak to a Pokemon with the Fly specialty while you are using the Pokedex to search for another Pokemon, they can take you to that Pokemon's location. This makes Fly an incredibly convenient way to locate specific Pokemon across the map.
Burn: Pokemon with the Burn specialty can set fire to flammable objects in the environment. This is useful for clearing areas, lighting campfires, and activating fire-based mechanics.
The combination of Fly and Burn makes Charizard one of the most useful Pokemon to have. The Fly specialty saves significant travel time when tracking down other Pokemon.

The Berry-Feast Campsite requires multiple berry types. Start planting Pecha, Lum, Rawst, Chesto, and Aspear Berry seeds early so they are ready when you need them.
Castform Weather Charms can be flipped between rain and sun designs if you have already crafted weather-related habitats. Make sure yours are set to the sun design for this habitat.
Decorate Charizard's area with fire-related items, luxury furnishings, and wooden objects to boost its Comfort Level.
