Hua

Hua, Deadly Betrothed is an optional puppet boss beneath Sha-Chi Tower in Weeping Creek Valley in Phantom Blade Zero. Her arena also connects to Yu'er's Flesh Lily quest.

Encounter details

Reach the flower field

From the tower's first-floor Bell, circle toward the hole leading underground. Follow the cavern route to the flower field. After defeating Hua, collect the Twin Flesh Lilies at the altar for Yu'er.

Create a safe opening

Long attack commitments can be punished by her quick grab. Defend and reposition until a clear opening appears. Fast Sanguine Twin attacks can fit between slower moves, while a charged Dread Axe hit can knock her down for a follow-up.

Red and white flowers

Move away from red flowers on the ground before their delayed explosions. After a spinning backstep, floating flowers converge at the position where she began the move; release lock-on if needed to reposition. Expect Hua to blink toward you as you move.

Slow white homing flowers can distract from the next close-range attack. Be ready to dodge when she appears rather than concentrating only on blocking the flowers, since the follow-up can include a grab.

Reward

Winning awards the Scarlet Wraithblade. Retrieving the quest lilies afterward is a separate interaction from collecting the weapon reward.
