The Coziness Test was the first closed beta for Petit Planet. It ran from November 7 to December 1, 2025, on PC and iOS only. The test established the game's core life-sim mechanics: Farming, Fishing, Mining and Crafting, Planet Customization, and the Luca vitality system, along with the initial Neighbors roster.
The Coziness Test was active from November 7, 2025, through December 1, 2025. The test was limited to PC and iOS. Android support was not available in this phase and was added in the later Stardrift Test. The roughly four-week window was a focused first look at the cozy life-sim loop without the broader multiplayer or travel systems.
The Coziness Test focused on the small-scale on-planet loop. Major systems confirmed playable in this build:

Several major systems were not playable in the Coziness Test and arrived later in the Stardrift Test:
Galactic Bazaar (the persistent social hub) was not active.
Starsea Voyage (off-planet travel) was not playable, though hints of the system existed in dialogue.
Archiboos (the five-color neighbor-development resource) was not surfaced to players.
Cross-platform play with Android was not available because Android support was added later.
Sign-ups ran through the official Petit Planet site. Selected players received access to the closed-beta client on either PC or iOS. The cozy framing of the test was reflected in the build's small scope and the absence of competitive or grind-heavy elements.
The Coziness Test was followed by the Stardrift Test (starting April 21, 2026), which expanded the playable scope significantly with the multiplayer hub and the travel system. A separate long-term playtest called the Staycation Program is ongoing as a small-scale, confidential testing effort. The Coziness Test established the cozy life-sim foundation that the later tests built on.
The Coziness Test build confirmed several design choices that the later tests preserved: no combat, no gacha, no inventory limit, server-synced real-time clock, and a daily-activity loop that does not punish players for missing a day. These choices placed Petit Planet firmly in the cozy life-sim genre rather than in HoYoverse's earlier action-RPG output.
