Townie Requests
June 10, 2026 at 02:08 PM
Initial version: request boards, daily rotation, Goals screen tracking, Together Card turn-in, rewards, and 0.1.3 changes
Townie Requests are short tasks that residents of Melino post for player-controlled Parafolk in Live Mode. Each request is a small favor with a concrete objective, which makes requests a quicker commitment than the long-term objectives handled by the Goals system. The mechanic was shown in the studio's extended gameplay presentation before the Early Access launch and has been tuned in post-launch patches.
Requests come from two sources. Request boards stand in town, one in front of the Town Hall and Library near the bus stop and one at Rail Plaza. A yellow exclamation marker shows when a board has requests available, and the same marker appears over the head of a townie with a request to offer. Some requests never reach the boards and are only given out in person by the townie.
The request lineup refreshes daily. A request left unaccepted may disappear the next morning, while an accepted request generally stays active without a time limit.
Each request lists its requirements before a Parafolk commits, so the cost of a favor is visible up front. Accepted requests are tracked in the Goals screen, opened from the side menu, where they sit alongside regular Goals and can be cancelled if a player changes their mind.
Finishing the objective is not the end of a request. The reward comes from the requester in person, not from the board.
Step | Action |
|---|---|
1 | Hover over the completed request and use Find Parafolk to locate the requester in town. |
2 | Approach the townie and select Talk To. |
3 | Choose the red Together Card that mentions the completed request. |
Turning in a completed request earns Paradimes and friendship with the requester. The studio has not published exact reward values.
Patch 0.1.3, released June 6, 2026, made two confirmed changes to the system: requests now fail automatically if the requesting townie passes away, and the Clean the Beach request, which takes place at the town beach, spawns its trash bags immediately so it can always be completed. The full update log lives in Patch Notes.
