Ifuu is a Genma in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the younger of two sibling Genma who have made Kennin-ji Temple their lair. He fights alongside his elder brother, Burai, and Capcom describes both as Genma who actively seek out duels with worthy challengers rather than lying in wait as ordinary Genma do.
Identity and Abilities
Capcom's official character page credits Ifuu with the ability to stir up powerful gales, wielding the wind itself as a weapon to blast opponents away. Like his brother, the promise of a good fight is what gets his blood pumping, and the pair are drawn to strong opponents rather than posted as passive guards over their temple.
Combat Behavior
Retail-build coverage of the shipped game describes Ifuu controlling wind like a projectile, capable of whipping up violent gales at range rather than relying only on close-quarters strikes. The same coverage describes Musashi facing both Ifuu and Burai in the same encounter, fighting the two Genma siblings simultaneously rather than one after the other.
Musashi's usual Combat System toolkit still applies against Ifuu. Ranged wind pressure of this kind falls into the category of attacks that can be answered with a parry, a deflect, or a Reflex Dodge depending on how it lands, and a Break Issen remains available once Ifuu's Stamina Gauge is exhausted.
Voice and Reveal
Ifuu is voiced by Adam Stickler. Capcom revealed the character in the sixth trailer on 26 August 2026, showing him and Burai together at Kennin-ji Temple, and gave the siblings a shared episode of the official Genma character video series on 31 August 2026.
Achievements
The game's achievement list includes separate wind-themed and lightning-themed entries with hidden descriptions, consistent with Capcom rewarding both an individual encounter with each brother and a combined fight against both at once, though the precise requirements have not been published.
