Break Issen
Break Issen is the dedicated execution move in Onimusha: Way of the Sword. When Musashi breaks an enemy's stamina bar, a prompted Break Issen follow-up instantly kills that enemy by dismembering them.
How to Trigger It
Deal sustained strikes to chip away at an enemy's stamina.
Land parries on the enemy's swings, which also drains their stamina.
Once stamina is broken, use the Break Issen prompt to execute.
Combat Flow
Because Break Issen ends a fight instantly, the combat rhythm is usually: open with a few safe hits, parry the retaliation, stamina-break, execute. Stringing together multiple Break Issens lets Musashi burn through groups quickly, which is how the reactive-buff system encourages aggressive but disciplined play.
