Overview

New Herland is officially described as "Hethereau's glittering crown jewel" — a gleaming, skyscraper-packed financial hub that draws the elite, the ambitious, and the ultra-rich. It was added alongside the Miguel District in the Containment Test (July 2025), expanding Hethereau to 1.5x its original area.

Character

The district's towering skyscrapers pierce the skyline and house the headquarters of Hethereau's major corporations. The streets are wider, the buildings taller, and the atmosphere more formal than the residential Bridge District. Everything in New Herland runs on money and influence.

Anomaly Hunter market

New Herland hosts what official sources call "the most cutthroat Anomaly Hunter market in the city" — the beating heart of the fiercest, most lucrative anomaly hunter market, where fortunes are made and rivalries ignite. This is where well-funded, elite Anomaly Hunters operate with proper credentials and corporate backing. The contrast with the scrappy, underfunded Eibon Antique Shop in Bridge Crossing is deliberate: Eibon operates in a gray area while New Herland represents the official, commodified side of anomaly hunting.

Connections

The Bank cooperative dungeon is themed around a financial institution, fitting New Herland's identity. Characters like Chiz, who works as a bank lobby manager, are associated with this part of the city.

Exploration

The skyscraper-heavy layout makes New Herland a vertical exploration challenge. Wall-climbing and Esper abilities like Nanally's anti-gravity (which ignores gravity for 12 seconds) are especially useful for reaching rooftops.
