New Herland is the financial district of Hethereau. It was added alongside the Miguel District in the Containment Test (July 2025), expanding the city to 1.5x its original area. New Herland is defined by skyscrapers, corporate offices, and a distinctly modern skyline.
New Herland is the wealthiest and most corporate part of Hethereau. The streets are wider, the buildings taller, and the atmosphere more formal than the residential Bridge District. Corporate entities and financial institutions dominate the district. The anomaly market, where anomaly-related goods and services are traded through official channels, operates here.
The district's corporate nature connects to several game systems. The Bank cooperative dungeon is themed around a financial institution, which fits New Herland's identity. Characters like Chiz, who works as a bank lobby manager, are associated with this part of the city.
The skyscraper-heavy layout makes New Herland a vertical exploration challenge. Wall-climbing and Esper abilities like Nanally's anti-gravity are especially useful for reaching rooftops. The drone mechanic introduced in the Co-Ex Test allows players to scout the district from above.
