Overview
Good Boy's Grand Adventure is an S-Class Arc in Neverness to Everness. Unlike the DPS-focused Arcs such as Camellia Society and Contemplative Cat, Good Boy's Grand Adventure is designed as a support and team-buffing Arc. Its mechanics center around the Ultimate ability: the Arc increases the rate at which the Ultimate charges, and then rewards the wielder's team with ATK buffs whenever the Ultimate is used.
The Arc also includes a conditional bonus: if enemies are under crowd-control effects when the Ultimate triggers, the entire team receives an additional ATK buff on top of the base post-Ultimate bonus. This incentivizes coordination between the wielder and teammates who provide crowd control, making Good Boy's Grand Adventure a cornerstone of team-oriented strategies.
Lore
"What do you see? A winged white wolf? An adorable white dog? Or perhaps...?"
The flavor text plays with the idea of perception and identity. The Arc's imagery evokes a mythical companion, something that could be a fierce, winged wolf or a lovable pet dog depending on the observer's perspective. This duality reflects the Arc's nature in gameplay: it can seem unassuming compared to high-damage Arcs, but its true power lies in elevating the entire team. The "Good Boy" is not the one who deals the damage; it is the one who makes everyone else stronger.
Passive Effect
Good Boy's Grand Adventure provides two passive benefits. First, it permanently increases the wielder's Charge Speed, which determines how quickly the Ultimate ability charges during combat. Second, after the wielder uses their Ultimate, the entire team receives an ATK buff lasting 20 seconds. If any enemies are under crowd-control effects at the moment the Ultimate triggers, an additional ATK bonus is applied to the team. This extra bonus does not stack with itself if multiple enemies are crowd-controlled.
Level | Charge Speed | Team ATK (20s) | Extra ATK if CC'd |
|---|---|---|---|
L1 | +20% | +10% | +5% |
L2 | +25% | +12.5% | +6.25% |
L3 | +30% | +15% | +7.5% |
L4 | +35% | +17.5% | +8.75% |
L5 | +40% | +20% | +10% |
At L5, the Arc provides a 40% increase to Charge Speed, a 20% team ATK buff after each Ultimate, and an additional 10% ATK if enemies are crowd-controlled. The combined 30% ATK buff (when the CC condition is met) is applied to every member of the team for 20 seconds, making each Ultimate activation a significant team-wide power spike.
Arc Ability
Good Boy's Grand Adventure does not have an active Arc Ability. Its power is entirely passive, split between the Charge Speed increase and the post-Ultimate team buffs. This passive-only design means the wielder's combat rotation is not complicated by additional ability timings. The wielder simply needs to build and use their Ultimate as frequently as possible.
Recommended Characters
Good Boy's Grand Adventure is best suited for support or sub-DPS characters who use their Ultimate frequently and whose teams benefit from ATK buffs. Characters with built-in crowd-control abilities are especially valuable, as they can trigger the additional ATK bonus themselves.
Support characters whose Ultimates provide healing, shielding, or other team utility gain added value from Good Boy's Grand Adventure, since their Ultimates now also buff the team's ATK for 20 seconds.
Sub-DPS characters who rotate in briefly to use their Ultimate before swapping back are excellent carriers. The Charge Speed bonus ensures their Ultimate is ready more often, and the ATK buff persists even after swapping to another character.
Characters with crowd-control abilities (freezes, stuns, pulls, or knockdowns) can trigger the extra ATK bonus condition by applying CC before or during their Ultimate activation.
Good Boy's Grand Adventure is less effective on characters who rarely use their Ultimate or whose teams do not benefit from ATK buffs (such as teams focused entirely on HP-scaling or DEF-scaling damage).
How to Obtain
Good Boy's Grand Adventure can be purchased from the Arc Shop for 25 Tri-Keys. Tri-Key is earned through gameplay activities including story progression, Anomaly Commissions, and events. No gacha banner or luck-based acquisition is involved.
Teams that run dedicated support or sub-DPS characters will get the most value from this Arc. If your team already has strong individual DPS Arcs (such as Camellia Society on your main DPS), Good Boy's Grand Adventure on a support character provides team-wide damage increases that multiply the effectiveness of those individual Arcs.
Strategy and Tips
Maximize Ultimate frequency. The entire value of Good Boy's Grand Adventure is tied to using Ultimates. The Charge Speed bonus helps, but you can further accelerate charging by building energy through Basic Attacks, Skills, and Entry actions. The faster you cycle Ultimates, the higher your team's ATK uptime.
Coordinate CC with Ultimate timing. To get the additional ATK bonus, at least one enemy must be under a crowd-control effect when the Ultimate triggers. Communicate with your team (or plan your rotation in solo play) so that CC abilities are active during the Ultimate window. Even a brief stun or freeze counts.
Use on a sub-DPS for quick rotations. Equip Good Boy's Grand Adventure on a character who can swap in, use their Ultimate, and swap out quickly. The 20-second ATK buff persists on the entire team regardless of who is on the field, so the wielder does not need to stay active to maintain the buff.
Stack with other team buffs. The ATK buff from Good Boy's Grand Adventure is additive with the wielder's other ATK sources but applies as a separate buff to teammates. This means it stacks effectively with buffs from other characters' abilities, KongMu Gear set bonuses, and food buffs. Layer multiple buffs during DPS windows for maximum team damage.
Upgrade for Charge Speed gains. The Charge Speed increase from 20% at L1 to 40% at L5 has a compounding effect: faster Ultimates mean more frequent ATK buffs, which means higher overall team damage. Each level of upgrade effectively increases the team's sustained DPS.
