Ail'vorith is the capital city of the Deep Elves and one of the four cities a new character can begin in when Monsters & Memories opens its Early Access on October 1, 2026. The official Early Access material places it deep below the eastern lands of Calafrey and calls it the dark capital of the Deep Elves; the race material calls the same place the great capital city of the underworld. It is part of Module 1, Descent into the Deep, which is included in the launch content, and it opened for beta testing on September 10, 2026. See Starting Cities for the four-city system.
The official race entry for the Deep Elves, who call themselves the Ail'trist, says they were driven from their city by the Cilindrine, the High Elves, during the wars that followed the collapse of the Calafrey Conglomerate, fled underground, and later reclaimed the ruins of that city. The entry closes on the capital itself: deep below rests the great capital city of the underworld, in which the Ail'trist scheme and the Shadow listens. The Shadow is the voice the Deep Elves first heard underground; nothing more about it is published as of September 21, 2026. A dungeon called The Blind Midden was added near Ail'vorith in place of a surface zone originally slated for launch.

The Early Access FAQ, updated September 15, 2026, says that various evil race, faith and class combinations will be able to start in Ail'vorith. An older answer on the developer's account portal states that Deep Elves can start in their capital city. Both wordings are official; the September one is broader and current. Since August 4, 2026 deity choice also affects where a character may start, and the developer has said some combinations will be updated before launch.
Beta Patch 10 (September 10, 2026) unlocked the Deep for testing and made Ail'vorith accessible, with Deep Elf and Deep Gnome character creation opened at the same time. The note describes Ail'vorith as a starter zone akin to Evershade Weald, with multiple newbie yards and hunting grounds from level 1 to 20, plus higher-level camps up to level 50 strewn about. A starting player initially had access only to the Foreign Quarter, described as being in its first iteration, and the note said the larger city was not yet available for testing and would only be fully available at Early Access launch. Beta Patch 0.30.0.0 (September 19, 2026), labelled Early Access Patch + Module 1, then activated the city population, added missing trainers to the Foreign Quarter, activated the teleporter pads, adjusted the newbie yard population, and added fishing volumes and foraging tables. The same patch implemented Ail'vorith starter quests for the Shadow Knight and Rogue and for the Spellblade and Wizard. As of September 21, 2026 the notes do not name starter quests for other classes in the city.

Deep Elves speak Deep Common. The September 10, 2026 note warned in capitals that a Deep Elf getting no response from NPCs should switch language to Deep Common, and since September 19, 2026 Deep races default to Deep Common while every other race defaults to Common Tongue, with the last spoken language saved to the character and changed by right-clicking a chat window. There is a faction named Ail'Vorith City in the notes' spelling; Module 1 Hotfix 1 (September 19, 2026) granted everyone who held it a bit more to offset changes from the previous patch. See Interface and Commands for language settings.
PvP suppression volumes were added in Ail'vorith on September 10, 2026, and city banks, inns and personal houses are the suppression zone types named in the September 19, 2026 Soulbind rule. The developer's public server metrics page lists Ail'vorith as one of four starting zones for which it reports live population, alongside Evershade Weald, Night Harbor and the Underdocks; the numbers move constantly and are not recorded here.
The Early Access FAQ writes the name Ail'vorith with a lowercase v, and this wiki follows it. The patch notes write Ail'Vorith with a capital V, abbreviate it AV, and once render the apostrophe as a backtick. All refer to the same city.
