Gamescom 2026 Recap (September 8, 2026)
On September 8, 2026 the developer published a recap of Gamescom 2026, where the game was playable in demo form at the publisher's booth in Cologne from August 26 to 30. Visitors who tried the game could receive a limited print run collectible card of a Lost Ghorious, a Lost Animon variant of Ghorious. The post thanked attendees and the publisher and said the team took player suggestions home with it, but it gave no date for the delayed first major update. As of September 13, 2026 that update still has no announced date anywhere in the developer's Steam announcement archive, which runs to 29 posts and ends with this recap.
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S Announced (August 20, 2026)
On August 20, 2026 the developer announced that LumenTale: Memories of Trey is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Both versions are slated for later in 2026 and no exact date was given. Re-checked on September 13, 2026: still no console release date. The official microsite lists both consoles as coming soon, the PlayStation storefront entry carries a coming-soon state with no date attached, and the Xbox storefront listing shows no release date either. The announcement did not mention a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version, and nothing was said about Game Pass. Until those builds ship, the game remains available only on PC through Steam and on the Nintendo Switch family. See Available Platforms and Consoles Guide and Release Date and Platforms.
Gamescom 2026 and Update 1 Delay (July 31, 2026)
On July 31, 2026, the developer confirmed it will attend Gamescom 2026 at the publisher's booth in Cologne, Hall 6 Booth B-060, from August 26 to 30, with the game playable on the show floor. The same post repeated that the first major update, originally planned for July, has been pushed back so its improvements, bug fixes, optimisations, and new content can launch simultaneously on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
100,000 Players Milestone (July 23, 2026)
On July 23, 2026, the developer announced that 100,000 players have started the game since launch. The same post first confirmed the delay of the first major update beyond its planned July window.
Hotfix 4 (July 7, 2026)
On July 7, 2026, the developer released Hotfix 4, a small patch whose only listed fix removes a black screen that some players hit during an early cutscene. It was a quick bug fix rather than the game's first major update, which was originally scheduled for July 2026 and has since been pushed back.
Hotfix 3 and Upcoming July Update (July 2, 2026)
On July 2, 2026, the developer released Hotfix 3, which cleared a Glacial Peak progression block and corrected several Mystical Relic item bugs, an Aniwiki scan issue, and a Nuclheart evolution problem. The full fix list is on the Known Issues page. Marking one month since launch, the team also announced that the game's first major update was planned for July 2026, adding community-requested improvements, balancing changes, and new Lost Animon. That update was later delayed and has not shipped yet.
LumenTale x Palworld Bundle (June 20, 2026)
On June 20, 2026, the developer launched a cross-promotion bundle on Steam that pairs LumenTale with another monster-and-creature game, Palworld. Two more creature-collector pairings have since appeared on the store page alongside it, one with Monster Sanctuary and one with Cassette Beasts, each carrying the same 10 percent bundle saving. Buying the two games together as the bundle saves 10 percent off the combined price. The bundle is a storefront discount only: it adds no new content to LumenTale, and the offer simply lets players who want both titles pick them up for less. For the standard edition price and the launch-window Early Adopter bonus, see the Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses page.
Starter Evolutions Showcase (June 9, 2026)
The developer published a showcase of every Starter Animon line, including each starter's branching final evolutions and their Lost forms, 20 Animon in total. The post also recapped the two post launch updates shipped so far. See Lost Animon and the All Evolutions Guide for the details.
Released May 26, 2026
LumenTale launched on May 26, 2026 on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. There were no pre-orders available, so the game could only be purchased after it went live. For the full launch schedule, see Release Time and Countdown.
Early Adopter Pack Bonuses
Players who purchased the game during its first month of launch, May 26 to June 25, 2026, could redeem the Early Adopter Pack. It contained three different sets of in-game items ranging from consumables to cosmetics to collectibles. That window closed on June 25, 2026, and the pack is no longer listed on the store page.
