Overview
LumenTale: Memories of Trey supports a set of online multiplayer features built around battling and trading. You can fight other players in several PvP modes, spectate ongoing battles, and trade both Animon and collectible cards. Switch players need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to use these features.
Online Battles
The game's PvP battles come in three formats. You can play with friends or search for players directly, and you can also watch battles unfold as a spectator.
Mode | Description |
|---|---|
Quick Match | A fast, casual online battle. |
Ranked Match | A competitive battle that affects your ranking. |
Tournament | A tournament-style multiplayer format. |
Spectate | Watch battles as they happen. |
Tournament Formats
Tournaments can be hosted by the game itself or set up by other players, and they run in two formats that differ in size and in whether anyone can watch.
Format | Player Limit | Spectator Mode |
|---|---|---|
Point Tournament | Unlimited entrants. | Not available. |
Bracket Tournament | Up to 32 players. | Available, with battles viewable in real time. |
Ranked Play
Quick matches are the casual option and exist mainly to test a team. Ranked matches are the competitive track, and results there count toward the global rankings.
Online Trade
Beyond battling, you can trade your Animon with other players online. You can also trade the Animon cards used in the game's collectible card minigame.
