Mythos is one of the two regions that make up Talea in LumenTale: Memories of Trey. Together with Logos, it forms the world that Trey explores on his journey.
Mythos lies in the southern half of Talea. It was once part of a single empire before a war of succession split the land in two. Where its sibling region leans on technology, Mythos is more rooted in tradition, and that contrast colors its towns, factions, and the kinds of Animon you find along its routes.
The region is the tradition-focused half of Talea. Coastal Costa Linda anchors the south as a busy port city, home to Nipo's Lumen squadron, while inland Iris Hamlet stays a quieter settlement and serves as the base for Dr. Kapan's research lab. Mythos cities lean into longer-standing customs, slower pacing, and an older visual language than their Logos counterparts. The southern faction's stake in the war of succession reads as the side that holds to inherited tradition, where the northern Logos faction takes the reform-leaning position. Both sides remain active across the campaign and are not framed as villain-and-hero.
After the Out of Ideas main quest, Trey decides whether to take on Logos or Mythos first. Blanco explains the difference between the two factions, but the choice is formally made once Julia asks. Choosing Mythos grants access to the south first, including Mythos-exclusive Animon and battles against Mythos squadron members and their leaders. The choice does not lock you out of the other region; you can still visit up to the first city of the opposite route, though that area's world map stays fogged and you cannot sign up for its Lumen Squadron battle until later. See Should You Go North or South.
The South suits players who want to encounter Geo, Grass, and Virus Animon first, since the region has more forest and swamp areas.
The main story moves through a chain of southern cities. Each holds a Lumen squadron whose leader must be defeated to continue deeper into the region.

A quiet southern settlement and the base of Dr. Kapan's research lab, near the Scarlet Woods. | |
Memorenia | The next destination reached after Altipetra, also referred to as the City of Tradition. |
Suvius Peak | A cave route connecting Costa Linda toward Altipetra. |
Several boss fights mark the southern route. The Dualine is faced at Baza's palace in Mirasilva, a giant Blumester threatens Costa Linda's harbor, and the Morsiver is pursued through Altipetra's volcano. See List of Bosses.
Like the rest of Talea, Mythos has wild Animon to catch and a day and night cycle that changes encounters. Fast travel is available between Lumen Clubs in its cities once each is visited, though Iris Hamlet cannot be fast-traveled to. See Exploration, How to Fast Travel, and World and Regions. The full set of routes and locations is best discovered in-game.
