Characters
LumenTale: Memories of Trey follows a cast of characters whose stories cross paths with Trey as he travels Talea to recover his memories. This page introduces the main figures and links to their dedicated entries.
Main Character
Trey is the protagonist, a young figure who wakes with no memory of his past and sets out across Talea to learn the truth about himself while bonding with Animon. He is discovered in the Scarlet Woods, the same forest where the robot Moka was found.

Your Traveling Party
Trey does not travel alone for long. Ales joins early in the story, and Nada, the daughter of Blanco, joins after the events at the Great Tree Town so that both accompany Trey for the rest of the journey. The three of them also handle crafting and cooking at rest points, and each is better at different tasks: Trey is the most reliable cook and wastes the fewest ingredients, while Ales has the highest success rate when crafting Bilias. See Crafting and Cooking and How to Get More Bilias.
Supporting Cast
Trey meets many others on his journey, including Julia, an aspiring Lumen Manager who is the one to formally ask whether Trey heads north or south; Nipo, captain of the Costa Linda squadron; Anne, a beloved figure in Voltar; Blanco, who founded an organization that supports the Lumen; and Nada, Blanco's daughter. Others appear during specific story beats, such as Max, who is introduced at Kapan's house during the early Tourist quest. See Supporting Characters for these figures.
The Lumen
Many characters belong to the Lumen, the order that catches, trains, and battles Animon. Their squadrons and roles tie the cast together across the regions of Talea. Each city's squadron is led by a named leader whom Trey must defeat to progress.
Squadron Leader | City | Region |
|---|---|---|
Magnolia | Mentor | |
Anne | ||
Dena | Northern route | |
Mango | ||
Nipo | ||
Elodie |
Mentors run their cities' Lumen Clubs as rest stops and represent the order across both Logos and Mythos.
AARI
AARI, the Animon Aficionados Researching Initiative, is led by founder and CEO Blanco with his daughter Nada at his side. AARI funds Lumen Clubs, supports field research, and acts as a mediating organization between the two regional factions.
Antagonists and Notable Figures
Character | Notes |

Baza | The High Priest of The Great Tree Town |

Story Choices and the Cast
Several characters' fates depend on player choices. During the prologue, Trey can choose whether to save Kapan from a collapsing building. If Kapan survives, he endorses the start of Trey's adventure and Ales joins out of character growth; if Kapan dies, Blanco, Max, and Julia still push Trey onward, and Ales joins to honor his late uncle. See Should You Help Kapan or Not and List of Choices.
