The Lampbearer is the role the player takes on in Lords of the Fallen II, returning as the series' central protagonist archetype. The Lampbearer is a lone hero burdened with an impossible task as the world falls to darkness.

Bearer of the Lamp

As the name suggests, the Lampbearer carries the Umbral Lamp, the artifact that allows passage between the realm of the living and the realm of the undead. This power defines how the character explores and survives.

A New Hero

The sequel's Lampbearer is customizable through character creation, and the game is set generations after the first game's events, so the protagonist is understood to be a new figure rather than a returning named character. No fixed name or backstory has been attached to the player character. In co-op, a second player joins the journey as another Lampbearer.
