Boss battles in Lords of the Fallen II are larger and more spectacular than in the first game, pitting the Lampbearer against colossal abominations. Three bosses have been named so far, all revealed in the first gameplay trailer shown at The Game Awards in December 2025, alongside a fourth major antagonist whose role has not been detailed.
Heartroot Warden
The Heartroot Warden is a hulking knight encased in horned armor who wields a chain-wrapped greatsword and hurls itself across the arena with relentless, heavy attacks. Its lore ties it to the Trelisi: only their most honoured warriors were chosen for the sacred rite that fused them inside enchanted armor and stripped away their humanity, leaving undying guardians.
Koydreth
Koydreth is a winged foe who rules the skies and strikes from within a rune-etched mirror, attacking from unexpected angles. It is described as the former leader of an order known as the Crescent Host. Cursed for a grave sin, it is said to move like a predator, both majestic and savage.
Lingao, the Scouring Storm
Lingao, the Scouring Storm, is a colossal dragon that commands wind and lightning and defends the region of Yisugen. Its encounter marks the first dragon boss battle in the series. It sweeps across the battlefield and strikes from every direction. Press material groups the sequel's antagonists under the Lords of Darkness that stand against the player.
The Scion
The Scion is a many-limbed angelic figure whose wings are formed from countless severed arms, giving her a disturbing, otherworldly silhouette. She appears at the close of the announcement trailer, and the developers have called her a major force in the game, teasing both the faction she belongs to and her hostility toward the player. Her exact role has not been confirmed, and she was not among the three bosses formally introduced with the gameplay trailer.
