11Overview2233The Firefighter career is one of the active careers available in inZOI, meaning players directly control their Zoi at the workplace rather than sending them into a rabbit hole. Based at the Dowon Fire Station in the southwest corner of Dowon, this career features five ranks and four promotions, making it the career with the most promotion stages currently in the game. Firefighters start with hands-on physical training and emergency preparedness tasks, then gradually transition into administrative and leadership duties as they climb the ranks.4455The Firefighter career is exclusive to Dowon during Early Access. It is not available in Bliss Bay or other cities. Players who want to pursue this path must choose Dowon as their city when setting up their household.6677Because the Firefighter career is classified as an active career, players retain full control of their Zoi during work hours. With autonomy (Free Will) enabled, the Zoi will attempt to handle tasks on their own, but disabling Free Will gives players precise manual control over which task to tackle next. This distinction becomes critical at higher ranks where task order and timing matter more.8899How to Join10101111To become a firefighter, a Zoi must meet the following requirements:121213131414RequirementDetailsAgeYoung Adult, Adult, or Middle-Aged. The career is unavailable to Teenagers and Elders. Zois who reach the Senior life stage while employed are subject to mandatory retirement.CityThe Zoi's household must be located in Dowon. The Dowon Fire Station is the only fire station in the current build of the game.ApplicationOpen the Zoi's smartphone, navigate to the Careers app, open the Recruitment tab, and find the Dowon Fire Station listing. Select Trainee Firefighter to apply.Position AvailabilityEach rank has a limited number of slots (see the ranks table below). If a position appears occupied (indicated by a red marker), you can still apply. The system will replace a previous NPC employee to make room for your Zoi.1515Because this career has four promotions to work through, it is recommended to apply as early as Young Adult to give yourself enough in-game time to reach the highest rank before aging restricts further progression. The Firefighter career is the longest active career to complete in inZOI.16161717Work Schedule18181919All five ranks share the same schedule:20202121DetailValueWork DaysMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (4 days per week)Hours9:00 AM to 6:00 PMDays OffWednesday, Saturday, and SundayPay FrequencySalary is paid at the end of each workday2222The three days off each week provide ample time for Zois to develop skills, maintain relationships, pursue hobbies, or manage a business on the side. Compared to the five-day-a-week schedule of the Idol Trainee career, the Firefighter schedule offers a better work-life balance. The consistent Wednesday break also means players can schedule mid-week activities like visiting shops or attending community events without missing work.23232424Career Ranks and Salaries25252626The Firefighter career has five ranks, each paying progressively more Meow (the in-game currency). Salary is earned per workday, so with four work days per week, the weekly income is four times the listed amount. Each rank has a limited number of positions, though this rarely affects single-player gameplay since the system replaces NPC employees when your Zoi applies:27272828RankSalary (per Workday)Position LimitNotesTrainee Firefighter297 Meow5Entry-level; physical training and admin tasksLieutenant594 Meow3Same tasks as Trainee; doubled salaryCaptain693 Meow2Heavier fitness focus; new task listBattalion Chief1,197 Meow2Office-focused; receives private officeAssistant Chief1,395 Meow2Highest rank; documentation and leadership2929The salary nearly doubles from Trainee to Lieutenant, making that first promotion one of the most impactful pay raises in the game. The jump from Captain to Battalion Chief is similarly significant, increasing pay by over 500 Meow per workday. At the top of the ladder, the Assistant Chief earns 1,395 Meow per workday, which translates to 5,580 Meow per week across four work days. This makes the Firefighter career one of the more lucrative active career paths in Dowon.30303131Daily Tasks by Rank32323333Each workday is divided into a morning block and an afternoon block, each with a set of tasks that must be completed within a time limit. Failing to finish tasks within the allotted window slows promotion progress and can eventually lead to termination. The morning shift begins immediately upon arrival at 9:00 AM, and the afternoon tasks start once all morning tasks are cleared or the morning window expires.34343535Trainee Firefighter (Rank 1)36363737The entry-level position focuses on a combination of administrative duties and physical training:38383939Morning tasks (within a 4-hour window):40404141TaskRequirementLocationChange into uniform1 timeWardrobe / Locker RoomComplete administrative work45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)Attend a meeting30 minutes (within a 3-hour sub-window)Meeting Room4242Afternoon tasks (within a 5-hour window):43434444TaskRequirementLocationWork out on fitness equipment5 timesWeight RoomRead the status board45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)4545Unlike other workplaces where Zois have assigned desks, the Dowon Fire Station allows Zois to use any computer in the building for administrative tasks. If you are running behind on the clock, pick the closest available terminal. The daily meeting typically takes place between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, so plan your uniform change and admin work accordingly.46464747Lieutenant (Rank 2)48484949The Lieutenant position shares an identical task list with the Trainee Firefighter. The only difference is the doubled salary (594 Meow instead of 297 Meow). There is no change in daily responsibilities, so players who have mastered the Trainee routine can continue their established workflow without adjustment.50505151Morning tasks (within a 4-hour window):52525353TaskRequirementLocationChange into uniform1 timeWardrobe / Locker RoomComplete administrative work45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)Attend a meeting30 minutes (within a 3-hour sub-window)Meeting Room5454Afternoon tasks (within a 5-hour window):55555656TaskRequirementLocationWork out on fitness equipment5 timesWeight RoomRead the status board45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)5757Captain (Rank 3)58585959At the Captain rank, the task list changes to introduce a heavier emphasis on physical fitness alongside continued administrative duties. The workout requirement is now split between morning and afternoon, with three sessions in each block:606061616262Morning tasks (within a 4-hour window):63636464TaskRequirementLocationChange into uniform1 timeWardrobe / Locker RoomWork out on fitness equipment3 timesWeight RoomAttend a meeting30 minutes (within a 3-hour sub-window)Meeting Room6565Afternoon tasks (within a 5-hour window):66666767TaskRequirementLocationWork out on fitness equipment3 timesWeight RoomRead the status board45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)Complete administrative work45 minutes on a computerOffice Area (any computer)6868The Captain rank is widely considered the most demanding in the Firefighter career because of the six total workout sessions spread across the day. Prioritize workout tasks first in each block, as they are the most time-consuming. For the afternoon computer tasks, it is strongly advisable to turn off Free Will (autonomy) to prevent your Zoi from wandering back to the weight room before finishing the administrative work. The meeting typically occurs around 10:30 to 11:00 AM, so complete the uniform change and begin workouts immediately upon arrival.69697070Battalion Chief (Rank 4)71717272The Battalion Chief rank represents a fundamental shift from field work to office and leadership duties. Upon reaching this rank, the Zoi receives their own private office located near the entrance of the fire station. Daily tasks at this rank focus primarily on documentation, reviewing reports, and managing station operations rather than physical training.73737474The specific tasks at this rank center around computer-based administrative work, status board reviews, and attending meetings. The private office provides a dedicated workspace, so the Battalion Chief no longer needs to compete with other Zois for computer terminals in the shared office area. The shift away from physical tasks means workdays at this rank feel considerably less hectic than the Captain rank's demanding workout schedule.75757676The salary of 1,197 Meow per workday makes this position significantly more lucrative than the Captain rank. The jump of over 500 Meow per workday is the largest single pay increase in the entire Firefighter career progression.77777878Assistant Chief (Rank 5)79798080The final rank in the Firefighter career continues the office-oriented work introduced at Battalion Chief. Like the previous rank, the Assistant Chief has their own private office near the entrance and focuses mostly on documentation, report management, and other administrative tasks. The daily routine at this rank is similar to the Battalion Chief's, with the workday revolving around office-based computer tasks and meetings.81818282At 1,395 Meow per workday, this is the highest-paying position in the Dowon Fire Station and one of the top-paying active career positions in Dowon. Over a full four-day work week, the Assistant Chief earns 5,580 Meow, providing a comfortable income for household expenses, furniture purchases, and skill investments.83838484Promotion Requirements85858686Promotions in the Firefighter career are earned through consistent job performance. The game tracks your progress via a promotion gauge (also called the career bar) visible in the Career section of your Zoi's smartphone. Open the phone, navigate to "My Career," and you will see your current job title, your promotion progress percentage, and your unexcused absence count.87878888FactorHow It Affects PromotionCompleting daily tasksEach task must be finished within its allotted time window. Successfully completing all tasks each workday fills the promotion gauge. Failing tasks repeatedly slows progress significantly.Consistent attendanceMissing work days or arriving late reduces your standing. Accumulating 3 unexcused absences results in termination (see below).Maintaining needsA Zoi whose needs (hunger, energy, hygiene, bladder) drop too low will perform tasks more slowly, increasing the risk of missed deadlines.Work day durationReducing your work hours (leaving early) negatively affects promotion prospects. Staying the full shift from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM maximizes career progress each day.8989When the promotion gauge fills completely, the Zoi receives a notification on their smartphone announcing the promotion to the next rank. The gauge resets to zero after each promotion. Because the Firefighter career has four promotions (the most of any career), reaching Assistant Chief requires sustained performance across many in-game weeks.90909191Getting Fired and Resignation92929393There are three ways a Firefighter career can end: termination for absences, voluntary resignation, or mandatory retirement.94949595Termination96969797If a Zoi accumulates 3 unexcused absences, the company fires them. An unexcused absence occurs when the Zoi fails to show up for a scheduled workday. Upon termination, the Zoi receives a text message on their smartphone from the Dowon Fire Station notifying them of their dismissal due to absences. All promotion progress and accumulated work days reset immediately.98989999After being fired, the Zoi can reapply for the Firefighter career through the Careers app, but they will start back at the Trainee Firefighter rank with a fresh promotion gauge. There is no cooldown period before reapplying, but a position slot must be available.100100101101Resignation102102103103A Zoi can voluntarily quit the Firefighter career at any time. Open the smartphone, go to the Careers app, select "My Career," and tap the resign icon in the lower-left corner. A confirmation message appears, and upon confirming, the Zoi becomes unemployed immediately. Like termination, resigning resets all promotion progress and accumulated work days. If the Zoi later reapplies, they start from the bottom at Trainee Firefighter.104104105105Switching to a different career through the Recruitment tab also automatically resigns the Zoi from their current position.106106107107Mandatory Retirement108108109109Most careers in inZOI, including the Firefighter career, force retirement when the Zoi reaches the Senior life stage. At that point, the Zoi becomes unemployed regardless of their current rank or promotion progress. This is another reason to begin the Firefighter career as early as possible during the Young Adult stage, since the four promotions require significant time to complete.110110111111Fire Station Layout112112113113The Dowon Fire Station is a multi-room facility located in the southwest corner of the city. Given the time-sensitive nature of each task, familiarizing yourself with the layout early on saves valuable time during shifts:114114115115AreaDescriptionWardrobe / Locker RoomContains uniform cabinets. This is the first stop every shift to change into uniform. Located near the main entrance on the ground floor.Meeting RoomUsed for the daily meeting task. Usually located on the upper floor. Meetings typically occur between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM.Weight Room / Fitness AreaContains fitness equipment for the workout-related tasks. Used heavily at the Trainee, Lieutenant, and Captain ranks. Features dumbbells, lat pulldown machines, and other equipment.Office AreaMultiple computers available for administrative work and status board reading. Any computer in the building can be used for these tasks, so always pick the closest available terminal.Private OfficesUnlocked at the Battalion Chief and Assistant Chief ranks. Located near the main entrance of the station, providing a dedicated workspace for upper management.116116The fire station is larger than some other workplaces in Dowon, so learning the layout during your first shift helps prevent wasted time navigating the building on subsequent days. Pay particular attention to the shortest route between the weight room and the office area, as Trainee, Lieutenant, and Captain ranks require moving between these two areas multiple times per day.117117118118Fitness Skill Benefits119119120120One of the notable side benefits of the Firefighter career is that workout tasks passively level up the Fitness skill. The Trainee and Lieutenant ranks require five workout sessions per afternoon, while the Captain rank increases this to six total sessions per day (three morning, three afternoon). This means Firefighter Zois naturally build their Fitness level over time without dedicating separate leisure hours to exercise.121121122122The Fitness skill provides several benefits outside of work:123123124124Improved stamina for physical activities, manual labor, and sportsVisible muscle definition on the Zoi's body model as the skill level increasesFitness competitions unlock at higher levels, paying approximately 1,000 Meow for winningBetter performance in activities like football, surfing, and basketball125125126126Players can further accelerate Fitness leveling on days off by placing a treadmill or yoga mat at home through Build Mode, or by visiting the public gym. However, the workplace workouts alone provide substantial passive gains over the course of the career.127127128128Tips and Strategies129129130130Start this career as a Young Adult to allow enough time to reach Assistant Chief before aging constraints become a concern. The four promotions make it the longest career path in inZOI.Learn the fire station floor plan during your first shift. Knowing where each task station is located prevents wasted time navigating between rooms. Pay special attention to the fastest route between the weight room and the nearest computer. For workout tasks, choose quick exercises like dumbbell lifts or lat pulldowns. Avoid slower activities like treadmill running and yoga, which take significantly longer to complete per repetition.Keep your Zoi's needs topped off before each shift. Eat a meal, use the bathroom, and sleep well the night before to maximize on-the-job efficiency. A Zoi with low energy or hunger performs tasks noticeably slower.Disable Free Will (autonomy) during time-sensitive task blocks, especially the Captain rank's afternoon computer tasks. Without this, your Zoi may wander back to the weight room or chat with coworkers instead of finishing administrative work. The daily meeting usually occurs between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Plan your morning tasks around this window: change into uniform and begin admin work or workouts immediately upon arrival, then head to the meeting room around 10:15 AM.Workout tasks at the fire station level up the Fitness skill passively, which benefits your Zoi in other areas of life. This makes the Firefighter career a good choice for Zois you want to have high physical fitness.Use the three days off per week to build complementary skills like Cooking, Gardening, or Coffee Craft to generate additional income or open a business.Save your game before starting a workday. If tasks go wrong or time runs out, you can reload and try a more efficient approach. This is especially useful at the Captain rank where the six workout sessions leave little room for error. When running behind schedule on computer tasks, use the closest available terminal rather than walking to a specific desk. Any computer in the station works for both administrative work and status board reading.Monitor your unexcused absence count in the My Career section of the smartphone. Three unexcused absences result in immediate termination and loss of all promotion progress. At the Battalion Chief and Assistant Chief ranks, the shift to office work means your Zoi's Fitness skill will no longer level passively during shifts. Consider maintaining a home workout routine on days off if you want to keep building that skill.131131132132Comparison to Other Active Careers133133134134The Firefighter career stands out as the career with the most promotion stages in inZOI, with four promotions across five total ranks. For comparison, the Idol Trainee career at Adam Entertainment has only three ranks (two promotions), and most other active careers have fewer stages. The Firefighter career rewards patient, long-term play and is ideal for players who enjoy watching their Zoi's career develop over an extended period.135135136136FeatureFirefighterIdol TraineeLocationDowon Fire StationAdam Entertainment (Dowon)Work Days per Week4 (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri)5 (Mon through Fri)Total Ranks53Promotions42Starting Salary297 Meow/day136 Meow/dayTop Salary1,395 Meow/dayHigher at top rankPrimary TasksWorkouts, admin, meetingsDance, vocals, productionAge LimitYoung Adult to Middle-AgedYoung Adult only (retire at Adult)Passive Skill GainFitnessMusic-related skills137137The four-day work week also makes the Firefighter career more manageable than the Idol Trainee's five-day schedule, giving players more free time during the week to pursue skills, relationships, and side activities. The Idol Trainee career also has a stricter age requirement, retiring Zois at the Adult stage, while Firefighters can continue working through Middle Age.138138139139Other active careers available in Dowon include the Idol Trainee at Adam Entertainment, while Bliss Bay offers its own set of exclusive careers. Dowon also has various rabbit hole careers at companies like Aramir Group and Dowon Solutions that offer different salary structures and schedules.
