11Collecting Skill22The Collecting skill in inZOI is a gathering skill focused on mining and resource collection. It was introduced in the v0.3.0 update alongside the free Island Getaway DLC (August 2025), together with Handiwork, Fishing, and Swimming. Collecting is available from the Teenager life stage through Senior.44Higher Collecting levels improve tool efficiency and yield better results when mining. Mined items are automatically added to the Family Collection Log, and completing the log earns additional rewards. The skill works closely with Handiwork, which covers what you do with gathered materials at the Crafting Table.66How to Level Collecting88Collecting experience is gained primarily through mining at Mining Spots scattered throughout the game world. Each successful mining attempt raises the Collecting skill and deposits raw materials into the Zoi's inventory.1010Mining1213Mining is the core activity of the Collecting skill. Mining Spots appear as rocky patches or shiny spots on the ground in non-residential areas. To mine, walk your Zoi to a Mining Spot and interact with it, then choose the "Mine with Tools" option. A pickaxe is required to mine effectively; mining with bare hands is far less efficient.1415Mining spots respawn quickly, giving you plenty of chances to gather resources in a single play session. Completing sections of the log unlocks exclusive furniture rewards.
