Expanded with detailed abilities, Three Kingdoms lore, Zhou Yu synergy, dungeon role, and tips
Xiao Qiao is a mage-class hero in Honor of Kings: World. The younger of the Two Qiao sisters and wife of Zhou Yu, Xiao Qiao wields fan-based wind magic that deals heavy area-of-effect damage while displacing and juggling enemies. Her Flow style combines burst damage with crowd control, making her one of the strongest mages for clearing groups of enemies and dealing sustained pressure in dungeon encounters.
Where other mages specialize in a single function (Wang Zhaojun in freezing, Diao Chan in illusions), Xiao Qiao balances raw damage output with enemy displacement. Her wind abilities push, pull, and knock up targets, disrupting enemy formations while dealing damage simultaneously.
Xiao Qiao is an AoE burst mage who excels at controlling groups. Her fan attacks generate wind currents that hit in wide arcs, and her abilities create localized storms that repeatedly damage enemies caught inside. She is particularly effective in dungeons where waves of enemies need to be cleared quickly, and against bosses that summon minion adds during the fight.
Her knockup capabilities are a key part of her identity. Enemies launched into the air are briefly helpless, creating windows for follow-up attacks from Xiao Qiao herself or from teammates. This makes her valuable in team compositions that rely on juggle combos for damage.
Gale Fan: fires a crescent of wind that knocks back enemies in its path. The projectile travels in a wide arc, hitting multiple targets. Enemies struck are pushed backward and briefly staggered.
Cyclone: creates a miniature tornado at a target location that pulls enemies toward its center. Enemies caught in the vortex take continuous damage and are slowed. This ability is especially effective for grouping scattered enemies before following up with burst damage.
Wind Walk: a burst of speed that leaves a trail of cutting wind behind. The trail damages enemies who cross it, and the speed boost provides repositioning utility. This is Xiao Qiao's primary evasion tool.
Tempest Requiem (Ultimate): summons a massive windstorm over a wide area that repeatedly lifts and slams enemies. Caught enemies are juggled for the duration, taking damage with each impact. The ultimate deals its full damage over several seconds, rewarding players who position it where enemies cannot easily escape.
Xiao Qiao is the younger of the Two Qiao sisters from the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Xiao Qiao married Zhou Yu, the brilliant chief military strategist of the Wu Kingdom. Their marriage is one of the most romanticized unions in Chinese literary tradition. The pairing of the beautiful Xiao Qiao with the talented Zhou Yu became a symbol of ideal partnership.
Her bond with her elder sister Da Qiao is equally central to her identity. The Two Qiao sisters together represent complementary qualities: Da Qiao's steadfastness and Xiao Qiao's vivacity. In Primaera's lore, these themes carry forward through their contrasting Flow styles. Da Qiao protects and repositions allies, while Xiao Qiao devastates enemies with elemental fury.
Xiao Qiao's wind abilities have a designed synergy with Zhou Yu's fire attacks. Wind feeds flame: when Xiao Qiao's Cyclone pulls enemies into a cluster and Zhou Yu's fire zones are placed on the same area, the combined damage is devastating. Players who equip both styles through the Dual-Class System can execute this combo solo by placing Zhou Yu's fire, swapping to Xiao Qiao, and pulling enemies into the blaze.
Use Cyclone to cluster enemies before dropping your Tempest Requiem ultimate on the grouped targets for maximum damage.
Gale Fan's knockback can interrupt enemy attack animations. Time it to cancel dangerous boss abilities.
Wind Walk is both an evasion tool and a damage tool. When retreating from a boss, the wind trail left behind continues dealing damage.
Pair Xiao Qiao with Zhou Yu for fire-and-wind elemental combos. Pull enemies into fire zones with Cyclone for amplified damage.
In co-op, communicate before using Tempest Requiem. The juggling effect can disrupt teammates' ground-based combos if poorly timed.
