Overview

Springbrook Plains (春溪原, Chūnxī Yuán, literally "Spring Creek Plain") is a region in Honor of Kings: World adjacent to Jixia Academy. It is confirmed by current community data. The region combines natural spring-fed creeks with the remnants of older civilizations, creating a landscape that is both alive with natural growth and rich in historical discovery.

Role at S0 Launch

Springbrook Plains is part of the S0 Season launch content. It is an early-game training and exploration area where students at Jixia Academy develop their combat skills and begin discovering the region's secrets. Hands-on press coverage from the Gamescom 2025 demo placed early main-story quests in this region, and identifies it as a standard practice ground for new Jixia students.

Landscape and Atmosphere

The region's visual identity is that of a spring wetland: flowing creeks, lush vegetation, wildflowers, and soft hills. This "spring" aesthetic gives the region its name and contrasts it with other areas of the game world that will later be accessible. The ancient ruins scattered throughout the plain provide both exploration opportunities and narrative hooks, suggesting older civilizations that predate Jixia Academy and hint at the deeper lore of the King's Continent.

As a Starting Area

Because Springbrook Plains is explicitly positioned as "where new students begin their academic journey," it functions as the effective starting region for most new players after they complete the initial Jixia Academy tutorial content. This makes it one of the most-visited regions in the launch build. Early-game combat difficulty is tuned for new players, and several early story quests walk players through the region's landmarks and introductory content.

Relationship to Jixia Academy

Springbrook Plains is directly adjacent to Jixia Academy and functions as the academy's outdoor extension. Students use it for practical training away from the formal academy buildings, and it is a natural transition zone between the hub area and the broader world. Players move between Jixia Academy and Springbrook Plains frequently during the early game, often returning to the academy for quest updates and venturing out into the plains for combat practice and exploration.

Region Connections

Springbrook Plains sits between the Jixia Academy starting hub and the higher-elevation regions to the north. The plains are the main travel corridor for players moving from the academy out to the Springbrook Ancient Battlefield encounter zone, and they border the Dongyunluo Highland transit cluster.

Creek Geography and Sub-Areas

Springbrook Plains is a creek-fed plains region adjacent to Jixia Academy. The principal creek bisects the plains north-to-south and forms three sub-areas: the western terraces (open foraging fields), the central creekbank (small fishing and pickup nodes), and the eastern rocky outcrop (a wildlife-encounter zone). The plains' boundary with Jixia is marked by a stone gate on the south edge and an open bridge on the north edge.

Exploration Activities

Springbrook contributes to the 鲲游 discovery track via a small set of sub-investigations, to the 见闻 lore-collection track via creek-side inscriptions, and to the standard wildlife and gathering loops via creekbank nodes. The eastern outcrop is the zone's principal combat encounter site, with a small wildlife pack that respawns on a fixed rotation.
