The homepage of world.qq.com lists Master Lu Ban's Dream Realm among the Reservation Rewards events and links it directly to the Hero Letters tagline "寻踪·英雄来信".

Compared with the boss-driven Dongfang Yao Dream Realm or the exploration-heavy Sun Bin Dream Realm, Master Lu Ban's event is a narrative-first activity. It lets players follow a chain of letters that Master Lu Ban writes on his one-hour daily correspondence slot, and the mechanical bird (机关鸟) that delivers those letters doubles as the event's visual hook and as a callback to his lore in the original Honor of Kings IP.

Overview

Dream Realm is the umbrella name Tencent uses for hero-themed limited-time events in Honor of Kings: World. Each Dream Realm is anchored to one Resonance from the launch roster and combines a themed activity with a cosmetic reward track. Master Lu Ban's Dream Realm is shaped around his Jixia Academy engineer identity: the official IP description for his character on the Honor of Kings IP worldview page reads "稷下学院的机关大师, 一向独来独往" (Master of Machinery at Jixia Academy, always a loner), and notes that after the loss of his creation Lu Ban Number Seven (鲁班七号) he withdrew further from the world. Under that context Tencent writes him as a hero who "takes out one precious hour a day to reply to letters, delivered by a mechanical bird," which is the narrative premise the Dream Realm event borrows.

The world.qq.com homepage tags Master Lu Ban's Dream Realm as 现已开启 (now open) as of mid-April 2026, running alongside the Dream Realms for Dongfang Yao, Sun Bin, and Meng Ya. The Xi Shi Dream Realm, which was tied to the pre-launch nickname registration page, had already closed by the time of the April 12, 2026 audit of that same homepage.

Event Mechanics

The Tracking: Hero Letters activity that anchors Master Lu Ban's Dream Realm is structured as a collection loop rather than a boss fight. The player interacts with the letter archive through the official platforms Tencent listed for Dream Realm access (the launcher, Cloud Honor of Kings: World, WeGame, and Wang Zhe Camp), then finishes follow-up beats inside the live client.

• Letter delivery step: a mini-program on world.qq.com's Dream Realm entry simulates Master Lu Ban's mechanical bird arriving with a letter. Each letter opens a short in-character vignette and contributes progress toward the cosmetic reward.

• Tracking step: the "Tracking" portion of the event sends the player on in-world tasks linked to the letter's content, tying Master Lu Ban's correspondence to locations inside the Jixia Academy cluster that is at the center of the S0 launch map.

• Reward claim: the campaign pays out as a themed avatar once the letter chain is complete, mirroring the "soft and chewy" mascot-avatar format Tencent uses for every launch Dream Realm.

Master Lu Ban the Resonance is not awarded by this event. Per the S0 hero acquisition summaries on 17173 and Ali213, he is purchasable from the hero shop for 3,980 Jingpo (晶珀) after launch. Honor of Kings: World has no hero gacha and no probability mechanic for unlocking Resonances, so the Dream Realm track is a purely cosmetic and narrative layer on top of that open-buy pricing.

Rewards

The headline cosmetic for Master Lu Ban's Dream Realm is the themed avatar Soft and Chewy Escort: Master Lu Ban (软糯随行·鲁班大师), which both GamerSky's beginner guide and the Ali213 launch-day summary call out as the direct payout for clearing the Hero Letters track. Tencent has not published a full reward schedule on the public-facing status page, so this wiki lists only the items that appear in at least two verified Chinese sources for the event.

In line with the pattern across the other launch Dream Realms, the campaign also feeds a handful of consumables and cultivation materials into the player's mailbox as progression bonuses. Tencent's marketing specifically pitches the Dream Realm channels (launcher, cloud, WeGame, Wang Zhe Camp) as paths to "丰富奖励" (rich rewards), but individual numeric payouts for the Master Lu Ban track are not yet listed in the Chinese sources this wiki audits. This article will be updated once Tencent or a Tier 1 Chinese outlet posts them.

Duration and Schedule

The Dream Realm opened for public participation during the pre-launch rollout, when Tencent made the reservation-reward entries on world.qq.com live alongside the Cloud Honor of Kings: World preview on March 28, 2026. It continued into the PC service launch on April 10, 2026 and remained tagged 现已开启 on the homepage when this wiki audited it on April 12, 2026. Tencent's S0 Activity Calendar uses placeholder dates (月日/月日) for most launch activities, so a firm close date has not been published. As with the other launch Dream Realms, players should complete the letter chain during the S0 opening window to be safe.

Tips and Strategy

• Pick one platform and stick with it. Tencent lists four entry surfaces (launcher, Cloud Honor of Kings: World, WeGame, Wang Zhe Camp) but progress carries on the linked QQ or WeChat account, so opening more than one client does not double your letters.

• Check in daily for the mechanical bird. The narrative framing ties the letters to Master Lu Ban's single daily hour of correspondence, and the mini-program is structured around daily letter drops. Missing a day does not reset progress, but it does slow down the final avatar unlock.

• Clear letters before committing Jingpo to Master Lu Ban. Buying him from the hero shop is a 3,980 Jingpo commitment that also buys you access to his support role in the in-game Resonance slot. If you only care about the event cosmetic, finish the Dream Realm first and then decide whether you want him on your bench.

• Save letter screenshots for lore. Each letter in the tracking chain is written in-character and expands on the Jixia Academy cluster's engineer subculture. The in-game archive does not currently preserve them after the event ends, so players who like the lore beats should keep their own copies.

Lore Connection

Master Lu Ban's lore in the Honor of Kings IP frames him as the Jixia Academy's best mechanical engineer, one who mostly keeps to himself but found warmth through his creation Lu Ban Number Seven. After Number Seven's disappearance years ago he became even more of a recluse, and the Return to the Void Dream Performance (归虚梦演) tournament is how he re-enters the world through the Stars Team. His Dream Realm event in Honor of Kings: World leans on that framing: the player maintains a correspondence with him through the mechanical bird, and the Hero Letters track becomes a small narrative vehicle for reconnecting the engineer master with the rest of the roster. It is the most lore-forward of the four active launch Dream Realms, and the avatar itself visually quotes that soft-side personality.

Monetization Notes

Nothing in the Master Lu Ban Dream Realm is paywalled. The Hero Letters campaign does not require the premium currency Xuanjing (璇晶), does not pull from the Heavenly Reward banner, and does not offer any item that currently sits on the Heavenly Reward banner or under the Gacha and Pity System.
