Overview
Honor of Kings: World supports cooperative play across all PvE content. Dungeons and boss encounters allow 2-4 player co-op, while 8-player raids serve as the highest-tier group content. Players can form parties through direct friend invites or automated matchmaking.
Rank-based matchmaking
When entering a dungeon, players can choose to matchmake with others of similar rank. The system pairs players based on their progression level and gear score to keep team compositions balanced. This prevents situations where undergeared players end up in content they cannot meaningfully contribute to, and keeps the experience fair for everyone in the group.
Summoning system
A summoning system lets players call for help during boss fights without disrupting an encounter already in progress. If a player or party is struggling with a boss, they can send out a request for reinforcements. Other players can respond and join the fight mid-encounter, arriving as additional party members. This avoids the need to abandon progress and restart from scratch.
Cross-platform play
Full cross-platform multiplayer between PC and mobile (iOS, Android) is confirmed. All platforms share the same game servers with no platform segregation. Party formation, guild membership, and all multiplayer content are fully cross-platform.
To address input differences between keyboard/mouse and touchscreen, TiMi implemented aim assistance and auto-targeting options adjustable by input method. The combat system's lock-on targeting was specifically designed to function well across both input types, ensuring that mobile players are not at a fundamental disadvantage in cooperative content.
Shared progression
All progress is tied to the player's account, not to a device. Character level, gear, Flow style unlocks, story completion, currency, and inventory sync in real time between platforms. In-game purchases made on one platform are available on all platforms. A player can run dungeons on PC during the day and continue their session on mobile later without losing anything.
Solo alternative
Players who prefer not to group with others can complete all content using AI companions. The matchmaking and party systems are entirely optional, and solo completion provides access to the same rewards.
