Expanded with more confirmed activities, added source attribution (trailers vs. Rockstar website)
Grand Theft Auto VI features a range of confirmed side activities and leisure pursuits across the state of Leonida. The activities below have all been confirmed through official trailers, the Rockstar Games website, or accompanying promotional materials.
Fishing is confirmed on the official Rockstar website as an activity available at Mount Kalaga National Park. Trailer 2 shows characters fishing from the bank of a river. The mechanics appear similar to Red Dead Redemption 2's fishing system based on what the trailers show, though Rockstar has not detailed the specifics.
Hunting is also confirmed on the official website for the Mount Kalaga area. The national park's forests and wilderness provide the setting. Deer are visible in trailer footage of this region. Rockstar has not detailed what animals can be hunted or what the reward structure looks like.
Scuba diving and underwater exploration are confirmed in the Leonida Keys region. Official screenshots show coral reefs, marine life, and submerged environments. The Keys' clear tropical waters are the primary location for this activity.
Kayaking is visible in Trailer 2 footage, with characters paddling through rivers near Mount Kalaga. This is a new activity for the GTA series.
In Trailer 2, Lucia is shown throwing a high kick inside what appears to be a steel cage or MMA ring. This confirms some form of hand-to-hand combat sport as a side activity.
Basketball courts are visible in trailer footage and have been spotted in official screenshots. The sport returns from earlier entries in the series, particularly San Andreas.
A mini golf course is visible in trailer footage. This is a new addition to the GTA series.
Working out at the gym is confirmed. Jason is shown lifting weights on the beach in official screenshots, and Lucia is seen sparring in a gym setting. This is reminiscent of the fitness stat system from GTA: San Andreas, though Rockstar has not confirmed whether a similar stat-building mechanic returns.
Strip clubs return from previous GTA entries. Boobie Ike's Jack of Hearts club is a named location in Vice City that appears prominently in both trailers.
Pool tables are visible in trailer footage, returning from GTA IV. Bars and drinking locations are also present throughout Vice City and the Leonida Keys.
Various watercraft are available for recreational use. Airboats (fan boats) are confirmed for the Grassrivers swamp region, a new vehicle type for the franchise. Speed boats, yachts, and dive boats have all been spotted in trailers and screenshots.
