Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is an upcoming action-adventure game from Rockstar North and Rockstar Games. It's the seventh main Grand Theft Auto game and follows GTA V.
November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. PC release expected later.
The game takes place in Leonida, a fictional U.S. state based on Florida. The main city is Vice City (Miami), with surrounding areas including Grassrivers (Everglades), the Leonida Keys (Florida Keys), and other locations.
Players follow Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple. After a job goes wrong, they find themselves caught in a conspiracy spanning the state of Leonida. They have to rely on each other to survive while dealing with grifters, drug runners, and dangerous criminals.
Dual Protagonists - Two playable main characters in a romantic relationship. A first for the series.
First Female Protagonist - Lucia is the series' first non-optional female lead.
Modern Setting - The game satirizes 2020s American culture including social media, influencers, and Florida Man memes.
Return to Vice City - The location from the 2002 game returns, rebuilt with modern technology.
The first trailer got over 475 million views in 24 hours, breaking video game trailer records. The game won Most Wanted Game at the Golden Joystick Awards and Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards in 2024 and 2025.
