The Farm

The player's farm in Grave Seasons sits north of Ashenridge and is the player character's home base for the in-game year. The site is run-down at the start of a playthrough and is gradually improved through farming, building upgrades, and investments paid for with the player's earnings.
The player character inherits the farm from their cellmate, a former owner the player knew from their time in prison. This connection is part of why the player chose Ashenridge to lie low after escaping jail, and it ties the protagonist to the town from the moment they arrive. See The Player Character for the protagonist's background.
The farmhouse itself is visibly in disrepair when the player moves in. Early hands-on coverage described water-damaged walls, frayed rugs, and a basement that contains a mysterious dark machine whose purpose has not been explained on the show floor. Whether that machine is a piece of farm equipment, a remnant of the previous owner's life, or something tied to the town's supernatural side, is currently unknown.
Other structures on the farm property have been visible in trailers and demo footage:
A run-down barn, suggesting that animal husbandry will be added as a later unlock.
Crop plots laid out across multiple soil types, including regular soil, arid land, and water-based growing areas.
An outdoor work area used for processing harvested goods.
The farm reportedly hides one of the town's stranger supernatural elements: a large tree on the property that has been described as dangerous and malevolent. Specifics about how the tree interacts with the player or with the rest of the murder-mystery system have not been detailed publicly, but it is one of several reminders that Ashenridge's supernatural side reaches onto the player's own land, not just the woods beyond town. See Monsters for what else lurks in the surrounding area.
The farm connects to the rest of town along the main road and is within walking distance of all the major locations covered in Ashenridge. A wooden bridge over a waterfall sits on the route from the farm toward the mine.
