11 Ashenridge is the town where Grave Seasons takes place. It is presented as an idyllic, isolated mountain town with some seriously unsettling vibes. The player arrives there after a treacherous escape from jail, intending to start a quiet new farming life, only to find that murders soon begin to occur.

66 Perfect Garbage puts the population of Ashenridge at more than 30 residents, each going about their own daily routine, while hands-on coverage of the public demo has described over 40 fully scheduled characters. There are 28 named primary residents revealed so far, and they make up the core cast the player can build relationships with. Every named resident has a home, a schedule, and secrets, which the player can investigate over the course of the year. 1212 Local District: a compact, maze-like quarter holding the homes and shops of most residents, where many people live above the businesses they run. It is home to Dante the fortune teller (who can hint at coming weather), the Bar, and the shared Community Gardens.Commercial District: Mayor Fitch's tourism project, built to draw visitors to the isolated town. It holds commercial businesses such as S-Mart, the corporate general store, along with a curated town square and an artistic fountain that anchors events through the year.

The setting is organised into seven major areas: the player's farm, the mountainside, the forest, the Local District, the Commercial District, the coast and docks, and the mines. When a resident dies during a run, their home reflects that change rather than staying static.

2323 Ashenridge keeps a busy social year, and the developers have told players to watch the in-game calendar for it. Community events recur through the seasons, several of them staged around the fountain in the commercial district, and at least one annual occasion is organised by Tomás. 2727 The contrast between cozy small-town life and lurking horror defines Ashenridge. While the player farms, fishes, mines, and builds relationships, a supernatural serial killer is hiding among the residents. The studio describes Ashenridge as a seaside village, which fits the docks and the fishing trade that sit at the centre of daily life there. The art team has also said the town does not stay the same from one day to the next, and that players should pay attention to what a place looked like the day before. The town also harbors quieter strangeness: the librarian is rumored to be a centuries-old ghost, and the player's own farm is said to be home to a dangerous and malevolent tree.
