Revision 1

The Focus in the Monastery Ruins is one of the four Chapter 3 Focus Stone expeditions. Gorn waits on the northeastern coastal approach and helps the Hero enter the ruins.

Enter with Gorn

Follow Gorn into the ravine, clear the Snappers, and take the Transform Into Meatbug scroll from the supply-room chest. Keep this single-use scroll for the monastery entrance. Additional copies can be bought from Torrez or Cronos if needed.

At the front gate, find the small hole in the wall on the left. Transform into a Meatbug and crawl through. Snappers ignore the transformed Hero, but the form cannot perform normal interactions. Turn back when safe, reach the courtyard, and use the wheel beside the gate to let Gorn inside.

Reach the Focus

Take the doorway at the far end of the right hall. Follow the cliffside route around the rocks, re-enter, climb the rubble, and use the stairs to the second floor. Enter the cave ahead and take the left route. The right branch ends at a level 3 locked chest containing the Blood Harvester schematic.

At the rock pillar with a hole through it, turn left into the wide cave opening and drop down the ledge. A Shadowbeast guards the route beyond. Fighting is optional if the Hero can sprint past and break pursuit. Light makes sneaking more difficult, so extinguish light sources before trying that approach.

Take the Focus Stone at the cliffside and interact with it to remove the barrier.

Return to the courtyard

Use the doorway opposite the Shadowbeast lair and climb the stairs. Search the unlocked chest on the wooden platform for Ice Block and a Transform Into Molerat scroll. The nearby lever opens a return route to the courtyard.

A Juvenile Troll enters the courtyard. Gorn can hold its attention while the Hero attacks from behind; sidestep its swipes and slams. Speak to Gorn afterward. Return the Focus to Saturas for 3,500 XP, or continue collecting the other stones before reporting.

See Focus Stones for the overall collection route and chapter transition.
