Rogues

The Rogues are the courier and scouting caste of the New Camp. They work under Lares and handle the camp's logistics and information flow.

Role

• Serve as couriers for the Water Mages, moving items and messages between the mages and the wider camp.

• Act as the camp's scouts and information gatherers, watching the roads between the camps.

• Handle the kind of quieter, softer work that the Mercenaries are not designed for.

Path for the Hero

Most Heroes engaging with the New Camp will work through Rogue-style quests before they are given the kind of direct combat tasks the Mercenaries sign off on. That is partly because Rogue missions are a better fit for a new arrival's skill level, and partly because the Rogues are the natural entry point to meeting Saturas later in the campaign.
