Orry is an Old Camp guard stationed at the gate that leads up to the Exchange Zone. He is one of the named NPCs featured in the Nyras Prologue demo, alongside Diego, Drax, Ratford, Kirgo, and Whistler.
Orry's role in the demo is a small, self-contained side quest that teaches the player how conversation branching works. The player either agrees to fetch him a beer on the first prompt or loses the quest entirely. There is no middle ground, which is deliberate: in a game where every early dialogue choice can lock a path, agreeing or refusing has to matter.
Previews describe the demo's NPCs as preserving the attitudes they had in the original Gothic, including Orry. He is a working guard on a boring shift who will happily take a free drink off a stranger, but who is not going to let that friendliness bend into sentimentality.
