11 The New Camp is the second of the three camps in the Valley of Mines. It was founded by convicts who refused to accept the ore-trade deal the Old Camp had struck with the Crown and wanted instead to find a way out of the Colony. Alkimia Interactive has confirmed the New Camp as one of the three joinable factions.

They actively research the Barrier and hunt for artifacts that might bring it down, which is why the New Camp funnels its ore toward them rather than trading it out through the Old Camp. The Focus Stones arc eventually ties this research into the main story for any Hero, regardless of camp choice.

1717 A Hero who joins the New Camp proves himself by running tasks that matter to either the Water Mages or to Lee. Joining opens combat progression through the Mercenaries for non-mages, and the Water Circle path for mages. Gorn is one of the most publicly visible New Camp Mercenaries in the remake's pre-release communications.

2323 The New Camp asks you to get past its gate and earn the organisers' trust. Things to Do: Bypass Roscoe (via Charm or Mordrag's Ring) ; Earn Lares's Trust: - Give Mordrag's Ring - Something the Matter? Quest ; Complete A Piece of the Pie ; Finish all Rice Lord's Quests ; Complete The Raid (Requires the List) You must get Lares's trust first to start getting quests from him until you get the final quest, The Raid. This quest can only be unlocked by giving the List from the Old Mine to him. You should be able to join the New Camp once you finish it.
